Brandon Jacobs, the smack talker

I hope the Cowboys yawn after every touchdown and calmly hand the ball to the ref.

:laugh1:

they should also look at imaginary watches during the game, like they had somewhere else more important to be.

Pocket watches and they should mime as if they are tipping their hats to one another. TO should put the Wall Street Journal in his pants and start reading it after a touchdown.

This is truly Conan material. You were either a writer, or you hung out with them a lot.

Stuffing a WSJ inside a pair of football tights would be right up there w/ Jesus turning water into wine.

You flatter me but I was but a lowly writer's assistant/ script revisionist/ glorified coffee boy. Seldom did I write anything. But I did hangout with writers and attend rehearsal.

You've read/revised enough of the material to incorporate it into your daily musings...if you will.

If Roy Williams and Brandon Jacobs both collide at full speed, the universe will have one more black hole.

no just one more injured runningback

I'm probably just a wise-crack more than anything. I went to Baylor and was the only one under 30, everyone else was a Harvard grad who had worked for SNL and the Simpsons or both.

I forgot to mention that Jacobs would be the black hole, with Roy slowly rotating around the event horizon.

That makes me sick. Ivy league educated writers are no better than you or I (Univ. of Texas student). Right? Tell me I'm right. I would assume that good comedy writers wouldn't come from places like Harvard.

Oh and not to brag but although I wrote no more than a handful of lame jokes I did draw alot of pictures.

If you've ever seen the sketch called "Kidz Drawings" where supposed children have drawn obscene and provocative observations from around the studio, what can i say I'm glad i went to college only to spend my first job drawing crappy pictures in crayon to go on late night television. Now you are in on the joke, those pictures were drawn by me and Pierre Barnard from the art department.

These men are gifted and intelligent, alot of them have improv experience from "Second City" in Chicago, alot of SNL performers and comedians such as Steve Carrell came from that background. Show biz is part talent and a whole lot of who you know to get in the door. These men knew people, were ambitious and refined their talents along the way.

Some of them were only funny on paper I have to admit and you don't get to see all the crap that gets cut, I did, it was awful.

hahaha. I love that skit. That's awesome. Give yourself some credit, it takes talent to mimic childrens drawings gone mad.

We've totally hijacked this thread. Apologies to the poster :D

Even before this outburst, I've long disliked Brandon Jacobs and his mouth. For no more than he sees the field, he racks up a lot of unsportsmanlike conduct penalties because of his trash talking.

He is, was and always will be the quintessential JUCO player.

He does seem to lack any sense of sports chivalry, it is curiously lacking in much of the NFL.
