I pulled up the Coaches Film to review Brandon Moore.

I reviewed week 1, 16, and 17. He, IMO, looked better than Livings or Bernadeau did in 2012. He has good technique and still appears to have decent quickness. I don't think he was ever a power/mauler type and would be a better fit in Callahan's Zone scheme than in the power-man blocking scheme that the Jets implemented in 2012.

Moore went to the Pro Bowl in 2011 which was the last year that Callahan was his OL coach.

I don't believe the reports that he is "done". I do believe the reports that he wants more money than teams were willing to offer. If true, it might be worth it for Jerry to money whip him and get him into camp.

It appears that Livings might be done. If Bernadeau can't get/stay healthy, then the starting interior OL could be Leary, Frederick and Arkin. All three have Zero experience in real NFL games.

would love to see us sign him for at least this year but think we will just keep bringing in bandaid jags for this season

Sounds like at this point, Moore isn't anything more than that.

we are almost at the point where a bandaid is becoming mandatory

Lets see...Moore played under Callahan some and our line is very questionable ATM. It would only make sense to bring him in but there is no mention of that. This speaks volumes to me and I don't think money is the issue, he may very well be finished.

I was aware of these statements by Broaddus while watching the Coaches Film. Broaddus is often wrong.

He brought up awhile back that he's talked to others in the organization and they feel the same way he does. Whatever you or other fans think of his play, the whole league seems to disagree with you.

Don't want a guy who wants to retire, but would like another big payday, too.

See Lance Berkman.

Still feeling last years o-line collapse and it makes me wanna start turnin rocks over lookin for answers but it's more than likely theres no significant upgrade out there. Not gonna panic yet.

Did you read this part of my post?

The fact that the league does not believe that he is worth his asking price does not indicate that everyone believes that he is "done".

See Lance Berkman.

Berkman was a huge injury risk.

Moore started all 16 games each season between 2005 and 2012.

I watched Brandon Moore film for a couple of games last year too because he was what I thought we could afford in free agency.

I don't think he is done either, but I don't know if he really wants to play. The guy had a really nice career, but he is better than what we have. I don't know that he is better than Waters though. That guy was wrecking shop and outplayed Mankins when he played for New England.

I will take Moore.. at this point not much else out there. Would have preferred Winston but the Cardnials got him.
