After being released from Bethlehem, Aubrey decided to use the degree he got at Notre Dame to become a software engineer. While watching an NFL game in 2019, a placekicker missed a field goal and his wife told him: "You could do that." From 2019 to 2022, Aubrey worked with a kicking coach regularly to become a high-level kicker and try out for a pro team. He gets drafted by the Birmingham Stallions and plays with them 2 years becoming a 2 time champion and gets named All-USFL last year. Then signs with the Dallas Cowboys.
