Would you do it? probably will be the most sought after free agent.

Would I break the bank ? No but I definitely would give him a large contract. I'd rather look into nicks First and give him the max

Nicks over Williams?

No way

Well...five sacks in five games playing at OLB for the Texans in 2011....I think I'd be tempted.

It's tempting, that's for sure.

Nicks/Williams is a difficult decison.

I don't think the team should break the bank for any player not named Ware and he already got his money.

Mario William would be a great pickup, and worth a good contract. But the team has a lot of holes and I think they need to go for a mix of quality and quantity.

How is it that they can let him walk? Is it just wishful thinking, or will he really be with another team? That's one thing I've been confused about when someone brings Mario up on here.

Wouldn't break the bank with so many other needs but pass rusher is the most difficult position to find. If you can fill that need then you can get DBs in the draft and another in FA.

It seems Hou will let him test FA.

He's worth looking into at the very least.

Maybe it's because the Texans have this other OLB named Conner Barwin who took full advantage of Williams' absence by getting 11.5 sacks. Maybe they'd rather roll with Barwin and Brooks Reed at OLB and let Williams and his likely huge pricetag walk.

A team is gonna pay him Ware type money. I think Dallas will be out of the running pretty quick. I'd like to see the Cowboys bring in players to solidify the lines on both sides of the ball.

Why would someone pay him that when he isn't that?

Sure, he had a hot start last year but that doesn't erase the previous 5 years where he only had 2 good years and 3 okay years.

Any team that gives him anything close to Ware better throw in a prayer that they get the guy everyone saw last year.

I would love to have Mario Williams. I think having two opposite ended pass rushes really helps to transform a defense. It just causes so many problems. It's a passing league, and if you can't get pressure on the quarterback, it doesn't matter how good your secondary is.

I don't know what options we have in free agency that will legitimately fix our secondary, but I definitely think Williams would help fix our defense as a whole. If it wasn't at the cost of signing some offensive line help, I would be absolutely up for it.

I would get both, Nicks and Mario Williams, then I would get some mid level players like 49ers got with carlos rogers at cb and possibly a free safety that can roam middle of field and get interceptions.

And then i'd get an ILB that can shed blocks, penetrate the backfield, and who could turn and run with receivers down the field.

Up next we should get a NT who can hold at the point of attack, absord double teams and get an inside push on passing plays.

Finally a solid C with strength and the mobility to pull effectively while also providing the intelligence and savvy to call out the line signals and blocking schemes for the offensive front.. and who would also be a great snapper of the ball.

Then we'll be in business, you betcha.

We could squeeze up to 30 million out of the cap if we wanted to. There is no reason we could get nicks and mario williams. Guys like mario rarely ever become free agents, so go get him. You can do allot with contracts with sigining bonuses, guarenteed money, and getting creative. Besides we have no dead cap money for 2013. I would love to have mario and ware togeather.
