Breaking Down the 2008 Roster

According to the NFL, we opened the season with the youngest team in the NFC East, the fifth-youngest team in the NFC and the 10th-youngest team in the NFL.

We also have the tallest team in the NFC (second in the NFL) and the second-heaviest team in the NFC (fourth in the NFL), and we're tied for having the second-fewest players 30 or older among NFC teams.

Out of curiosity, which team is taller than ours? Jacksonville?

BTW, great breakdown Hos. It's like a How-to blueprint for team-building.

The things that hit home when you look at this breakdown:

1. This team has been built mainly through the draft and a FEW KEY free agent acquisitions.

2. This is an incredibly young team.

3. I am totally surprised that the players from the last two draft classes have managed to make the roster in spite of the talent that was already there.

4. We have very good depth.

5. We haven't been very succcessful in drafting offensive linemen, so maybe we should get some help somewhere in drafting the right OL.

There are no players left from the Landry, Johnson, and Switzer eras.

There are 2 players left from the Gailey era.

There are 3 players left from the Campo era.

There are 26 players left from the Parcells era.

There are 22 players who have only played for Wade Phillips in Dallas.

Switzer's lasting legacy isn't a player, but strength and conditioning coach Joe Juraszek. Thanks, Mr. Switzer!

Looking at Hos' list, I see why so many ridicule JJ as a GM...he SUCKS!!! Seriously, our F/O really deserve a standing o :bravo: :clap2:for the job they've done in building this team over the years and hopefully getting that sixth will solidify their legacy.

Look at the resources (1st rounders) thrown on that D compared to O...you'd think the D would be as dominant as the O.

But I have hope for the D this season.

It is quite a disparity isn't it.

It's sad that none of our draft picks from 99 to 01 have stayed with the team.

well those scrubs were nothing to shed a tear over.....so i am not sad....what is sad is that we wasted all those wonderful draft picks on those scrubs and Joey Gallowaste
