5 points for a win and 1 for a loss? I think 2 and 1 would be better, 3 and 1 tops

Bob Sturm did this friday. The steelers are like a point behind us with the win.

The thing to me is, this doesnt mean much.

The steelers are far better run organization and we are dysfunctional mess.

And I dont see the steelers getting worse or the cowboys getting better anytime in the near future, so again all this stuff doesnt mean much.

I felt that wasn't enough to give proper credit to the winners.

With 2 points for a win. Steelers would have 13 and so would the Cowboys. They deserve more credit for the extra win.

I also think 1 win is better than 4 losses.

Precisely.

I wouldn't even give points for SB losses.

I don't think Tom Brady will be wearing last year's AFC Championship ring with his 3 SB rings.

I would also qualify the wins by dominance as well. Only 1 Steeler win was truly dominant. The other 5 were all pretty close. Meanwhile only 1 Cowboy win was reasonably close. All the others were blowouts. AND who we played also has to be factored in. We BEAT the Dolphins the year before they went undefeated. We beat the Bronco's in what was their best team and year untill late Elway. Even those we lost to are pretty high up there- the Colts were considered a great team. The Bills were considered a great team.
How many great teams did Pitt Beat outside of us?

Getting to the Super Bowl is more of an accomplishment than not getting there.

You're rewarding teams for getting there, not for losing. Five wins and three losses in the Super Bowl is better than five wins and two losses, period.

Exactly, winning the Conference title is nothing to sneeze at, even if the team chokes away the SB.

Yep, and getting there 1 time and losing is better than never making it at all.

Because I was bored and didn't feel I needed your permission.

I dont get the point, of the points scored.
Just separating the many ties.

And reminding that the Cowboys still have scored more points than anyone. :D

I said a few weeks ago that Pittsburgh will have 8 before we have 6.

But beating the Bills twice really amps that up.

I'd probably go 4-1 and net points as the TB. But that's just me.

The list looks about right. As much as it pains me to say it, any list that doesn't have the Steelers on top at this stage would be wrong.

Actually playing in 8 games is the biggest contributor.

I'll tell you what I am proudest of. Our 3 losses in the Super Bowl are by a combined 11 points.

V...13-16
X...17-21
XIII...31-35

Meanwhile in our wins we have racked up a 100 point gap.

VI...24-3
XII...27-10
XXVII...52-17
XXVIII...30-13
XXX...27-17

When we win, we win big. When we lose we are in the game. All 3 losses are in Miami, Florida. Site of Super Bowl XLIV...Miami, Florida.

Just weird facts.

The reason I went 5 points is because 2 teams have 4 losses. I think a team with 1 win is better than a team with 4 losses.

I certainly give your guys their props.

I give them a ton of credit for making it to 8 SB's.

But the points thing...you're just messing with me.

EDIT: Are you going to see the Commanders beat the Pats next Superbowl ?
