my mind is drawing a blank as to who I might think would be a good replacement...oh wait... how about Madonna...I mean think about it... she is a material girl living in a material world... what better way than that to fleece the fans...

Rooney would be a natural choice. He's a great owner who everyone believes would be fair. I've read that the owner of the Falcons might take over as commish. One thing is clear, it will likely be an owner.

Say, doesn't Al Davis have experience as a commish?

I know you guys don't like the Skins, but how has he been a bad commissioner? Hasn't the NFL flourished under him?

I think many would point to the tampering the skins did with the Jets a few years back...

I agree 100%. This guy carried on and made the dream of Pete Rozelle a reality: PARITY. Now, some fans would prefer that the big market teams be able to buy championships (which would certainly favor us), but I like how the league is set up. It's cool to know that in any given year, any given team can make it to the dance. Don't get me wrong, I loved the days of Boys' dominance, but this way is a LOT more interesting.

Wasn't the Skins proven innocent in that? What about the Cowboys tampering with TO long before he was released by the Eagles? If memory serves me right, Jerry Jones went on live TV and said he would be interested in TO. Probably not in those exact words, but something like that. That would be considered tampering.

I never said that the refs were out to get the Skins.

Never said YOU did, but many skins fans have...just as many cowboys fans feel the refs are after the cowboys and just like both the skins and cowboys fans feel as if the many members of the media are out to say bad things about each team.

Do your homework about JJ and talking about TO.

some may laugh but it might not be a bad idea especially if it is only for a year or so...

But than again Al is getting pretty old and may not want the headache...

Rooney I think would not be a good choice and Blank would be even worse...

you sure it has to be an owner:confused:

TO was given permission to seek a trade. Once that permission was given, he could talk to any interested team, including Dallas...

Someone asked Jerry, and I think it was a year or even more back, what he thought of TO standing on the star and Jerry said a player of TO's caliber could sleep on the star if he was on the team.

The eagles persured the tampering chargers until the realized the time of the comments and then knew it was NOT tampering.

Could Tagliaboobs retirement have anything to do with the fact that we are now legitimate Suber Bowl contenders:thumbup:...Coincidence??? I think not!!!

Not surprising. He's been a lame duck for a while, but he did a GREAT thing sticking around and getting a CBA deal done. This guys was the best commish in sports.

This was well before he was given permission to seek a trade. I believe it was during his suspension.

Yo, smart one! If that is true, why did the Eagles not proceed with a grievance? Don't you RedStink fans even THINK before posting? Or, did you forget that this a Cowboy forum, not the ES forum, where everything that YOU MIGHT post there, everyone will agree!

I don't think it has to be an owner -- but I would think it would be reasonable to expect one.

How would Rooney be a bad choice? He's perhaps one of the most respected owners in the league.

In the media maybe. But doesn't seem like thats the case with Ownership group. At least one of the guys who apparently works for some team, posted that a week or so ago.

It makes sense, since he is one of those Owners who thinks big market teams should give more than smaller ones etc. I personally hate his policy or his introduced policy on Minority Interviewing process. That has been mostly a sham. Sure it serves some good, but then road to hell is always paved with good intentions, like someone said.

Anyway, I don't like Rooney at all. I think personally, it shouldn't be anyone of the owners, but someone outside.

You should read Brain's post. There was no tampering. If you did a search on here, you could read the interview transcript.

Eagles thought he tampered. He didn't. The allegations were dropped.

Jerry's well-versed in the art of bs. You can almost literally see the grease dripping from your hand after shaking his. No way was he going to get blow-torched for something like that.
