Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb said he “absolutely” wants George Pickens to remain in Dallas beyond this season. “That’s my guy. I feel like we’ve grown this bond in a matter of minutes. … I want the best for him, whether that’s him making the most money in the NFL at the position or whatever that looks like. But I do want him to win.”

What advice would Lamb give Pickens on dealing with Jerry Jones?

“Stay positive. Your money is gonna come.”

Which is why that would be one of the dumbest things the Cowboys could do. But I wouldn't put it past them. If they want to fix the defense, they can't have two WRs taking up almost 70M in cap space.

Not sure what all Pittsburgh paid him, but we're only paying him $3.65m this year. He obviously will want all he can get, but $28 m should be enough to keep him from holding out.

I'd rather get him signed, if we're going to keep him. I think we get dinged for the full $28 m if we tag him.

We all know the cowboys rarely sign anyone early they are going to slow play this, pay a high franchise tag, Pickens is going to be more volatile next year because of it, and we will be posting about Pickens signing drama this time next year. Which is exactly what Jerry wants.

So please for the love of god stop posting about Pickens and his contract.

Yes. Lets commit nearly 30 million next year to a player not happy about it.

Don’t know about salary stuff and going off of stats, Pickens is good compared to WR making around 28 mil (if the tag is that) or less but he isn’t better than those making 30 and up.

He should take the tag and if anything happens to him as far as health or production, he could probably still sign for somewhere around 25 a year which is still good money.
