Breer: Tradedowns for teams in the top 10 will be difficult this year

Hopefully somebody gets antsy and wants to move up for Sanders or Dart.

Otherwise, you’re stuck at 12

Rumor has 49ers looking to move into top 6. Their DLine is a mess. I am thinking they are looking at Graham.

Seems like it. IMO, there’s one QB this year worth the gamble (Ward). He will almost definitely go top 5.

Are other teams trying to trade up for Carter? Hunter? Graham? Teams probably aren’t willing to offer a first in exchange for a non-QB, which makes it much less worthwhile for those teams in the top 10 to trade down.

You can. But you aren’t getting the picks everyone here is claiming.

You are taking less
They can get a 3rd rounder. At least a pick that is higher than the one that they traded.

After the top 4-5 elites, the cost to move up just isn't worth it ...

Ive been saying this. However keep in mind the same thing was true in 2013. So you never know draft day

One thing to remember though is we did lose a good amount of chart value in 2013. Same could be true this year

I think Hunter, Carter, Graham and Jeanty are the only players worth trading up for. I'd be tempted to trade up for Graham just because we haven't had a stud 3-tech in so long, but Hunter is probably the only one I'd actually trade up for simply because he can contribute at two positions.
