that is the only game I will concede we will probably lose before the fact, I have watched this guy week after week throwing the ball with pinpoint precision and in spots that no other QB could do (except maybe Manning or Brady)
and his 2 main receivers seem to catch anything that touches their hands (are you listening RW?)
but I think we can hang with every other team coming up, the G-men, Eagles and Skins again...SD is a toss up, Rivers is dangerous too and plays the full 60 minutes like the world is coming to an end if he does not pull out a victory

Wrong board. This is a Cowboys board. I will not concede a loss to anyone. If the Chiefs can beat Pit we can beat NO. We will be underdogs but we can win.

I'd never consider us automatically losing to anyone... even the Saints. We usually seem to play up or down to the level of our opponents, and I feel like that game will be no different. Call me an optimist, but I think we have a good shot... any given Sunday.

Well, sure we have a chance to beat them, and of course we'll all be rooting like crazy for our 'Boys to beat them, but I'm with the OP in that I have it penciled in as a loss on the schedule. I figure our chances of winning that game sit at around 35-40%. I'll be thrilled if we split that pair of games against SD and NO (both of whom have beaten the Giants and Eagles already).

I just remember how NO beat us when we seemed to be clicking (if I remember correctly). How will we do in a state of turmoil? Maybe that will be to our advantage!!! They won't know how to game plan for us. :)

The Saints struggled to beat the Falcons, Panthers, & Rams so I don't see them as invincible by any stretch. We can win that game if we play with fire but limit our mistakes.

Brees also had tough games against the Bills, Jets, & Dolphins (all AFC East teams, hmmm) but great games against our division rivals, Eagles & Giants.

I don't ever go into a game thinking we will lose it. Not ever! :starspin

The QB who is playing lights out is friggin Brett Favre! Grrr :bang2:

I could live with it if we would lose to them in the regular season but beat them in the playoffs. I think the Saints will get homefield advantage. So lose in the regular season game would be fine with me. Because to beat them TWICE in their house....will not happen.

Watching the guy live, I will tell you that his arm strength is underrated and his accuracy is the best I've seen since watching Troy.

It also helps a lot when you have the time he has. I noticed that watching the Colts/Ravens and Pats/Jets. Manning & Brady have all day to throw, so does Brees. That makes things a heck of a lot easier.

Brees is beatable. The Saints are beatable. We can pound the rock and milk that clock against their suspect defense.

I sort of get sick of the Brees *** kissing sometimes. He puts up good numbers but to me he is not the best QB in the league. I think he did lead the league in INTs last year. He does take a lot of chances but people seem to gloss over his mistakes. And I don't want to hear about the Saints are undefeated so there is no need to complain but last year they didn't even make the playoffs and you hardly heard anything about his INTs. I'm not saying he isn't good I'm just saying the media needs to stop hyping this guy up like he is unstoppable, mistake-free or something.

Nope, that would be Brett Favre with 22 INTs last year.

Brees had 17 which put him 3rd behind Favre & Cutler who had 18.

It's a little misleading, though - Brees threw a huge number of passes. His INT rate was only slightly above average, 12th worst in the league.

Gotta stop the run against these guys. The teams that had them on the ropes (Miami, Carolina and even the Falcons for about 3 quarters) all stopped the run and put pressure on the Saints with their running games when they had the ball.

The problem with all three of those teams and those games is that they weren't able to make enough plays in the passing game to keep the Saints dangerous offense off the field.

If the Cowboys can bring the running game they had yesterday against the Skins and the passing game they had against the Falcons to New Orleans, they can beat the Saints on their best day.

This may sound a little homerish but the Cowboys have an advantage on offense and defense, albeit a slight advantage and the Boys are definitely better than the teams that threatened the Saints a few weeks ago.
