Everybody knew he would miss the first FG. That's all we have heard about since Bailey was cut is how Mayer is garbage and shouldn't have cut Bailey. He will settle in and make some kicks and most likely miss again.

Folks keep thinking Bailey from 2 years ago but he was still hurt and Mayer was the better kicker all training camp and preseason. Jets brought in Bailey for a try out and then brought in Aguaro or whatever his name is the Bucs took in the first round...... That should tell you something

well yeah we dont know what was up with bailey, if jets didnt take him, something is wrong with him.
need to give maher a chance, at least 3 games.
it had plenty of distance just a little off, like I said the other one was in dome, different in open field.
He may be ok.
