Bret Michaels to be an American Idol judge?

I guess he's as good a pick as they could have to get someone in there with knowledge, the reputation to get people to listen cause he's been there and done that.

I do think that American Idol is on it's last legs cause the show just isn't worthwhile anymore and, really, it hasn't been for a few years now.

The one big problem for Michaels could be if people remember him more, now days, as the reality TV guy who dates a bunch of sluts who just want to get on TV and show off their groupie skills, or if they'll remember him more for the musician whose been incredibly successful in the business.

Bret Michaels needs to just go away.

Given his current medical conditions, he should scale down and just do an occasional concert or guest appearance somewhere. Somewhat low profile stuff. But he probably won't since "winning" Celebrity Apprentice. I expect another looking for love series on VH1 and of course there will be the commercial opportunities he just can't refuse. Either way I just want him to man up and go bandanaless one time.
