Watched the game against the Raiders again last night on NFL Network, and these guys were battling. Interested to see more of Brewster, as he got beat @ times (Sam Young as well), but handled his man just as much. I think that he has gotten better since the first game, and going against SD's, #1's will give us insight to how far he has come ( Maybe Young gets snaps against their ones too?). Let's remember, he has been out for well over a year because of the injury. I thought Sam Young played better also. The replay (NFLN) will be on Sunday afternoon @ 4pm EST, for those of us unlucky enough to live outside the Cowboys Network viewing area.

Of course man. Brewster will do nothing but improve at this point. Everyone is ready to give up on him; go ahead. Just like the fools who gave up on Jenkins. Gave up on Spencer..

Keep giving up on draft picks... and keep looking silly is what I tell people. I have seen this coaching staff make enough draft picks/undrafted players big players(I.e, Austin, Spencer, Free) that I'm 110% confident that Brewster will develop into something. Whether it be a RG, or a RT - that's up to the coaches.

Sam Young is a very interesting prospect, as well. Doesn't look to be the fastest guy.. but you can tell he has game experience. Seems like he's a very intelligent player.. my favorite quote on a scouting report on Young is this:

"Good athlete for his size that runs down the field looking to throw the extra block. Has good feet for the right tackle position, sub-par feet for a left tackle."

Reminds me of Free.. all of Young's issues that I see can be fixed with coaching. Initial pop, bending knees more...

I'm excited to see both of them grow in the next 3 games.

I'm interested in seeing Sam Young playing. I don't know why, but I have a feeling Sam Young will impress us with the first team against the Chargers. We'll just have to see. Maybe he'll play like suck.

Hey, this thread's the real deal. I was an NCO in the service long enough and through enough really tough times to know that in men, development requires time as well as good instruction and leadership. The team foundations have been set on good course and the coaching staff is really as good as it gets in developing up great talent. They pay the price in instruction and walking through the entire process. They continually evaluate on aspects as work, thoroughness, talent potential, and dedication and commitment of the player himself. When Tank, and Pac Man, and TO were impediments to progress....they were removed. Even when committed Cowboys, such as Greg Ellis and Roy Williams were not either leading or following, they were cut. This is a good team framework, and it starts at it's very top, Jerry Jones and then his staff headed by Wade Phillips.

Fans can cry all they want about failures not to take the Lombardi, but they probably want to win the Lottery and expect everyone else to do the work at their workplace as well.

I'm anxious to see how far players such as Robert Brewster, Travis Bright, John Young, and Phil Costa are coming along and projecting here.

....and did someone say Kelsi Reich? I'm way past lust....;)
