Is Brewster going to be a RT or OG? I havn't heard much on how he is doing and what he's projected at playing.

If they think he's an OG, that could impact on what we do in the draft. Unless Iupati falls than I'm not sure Jerry spends a premium pick on an OG. History just tells us that.

I hope we hit on Brewster or he at least becomes a solid backup for a few years.

I see him more as a guard. We need to draft a left tackle. We can always move him to RT if Free can play there. That provides eventual replacements for Adams, Kosier and Colombo.

Huh?? There were never those talks and never will be. His projection was either as OG or RT. Free was the talk and has been the talk about LT.

I think Brewster will get a look at LG.Hopefully he can challenge Kosier for a starting role on the team.I still see Free as a RT prospect,just don' think he'll ever be strong enough to be a LT.

You recall very very very wrong. Brewster was never in conversation for LT. Free was and is. Period. I am 100% certain. Free talk really picked up towards end of Pre-season.

And towards season, he played sparingly at LT at times even when Flozell was healthy, so they have lot of confidence in him even prior to him playing for Columbo at RT.

Brewster at first was talked about as Guard, but after first camp I think, Wade started mentioning him playing Tackle specifically RT, before he got injured and Wade seemed pretty high on him.

Dude, just give up on the Brewster mentioned as LT already. Like I said there never was any talk, no matter what research you do. At least none by coaching staff. Maybe it was Mike Florio who said, since he is such a credible source

The OG talk was strictly from the media. The Cowboys drafted him as an OT and had him playing RT. A move to OG would be if it doesn't work out at RT or if they want him to know more than one position.

Brewster said the Cowboys plan to give him a look at guard and tackle in mini-camp. Dallas left tackle Flozell Adams, a 12-year pro, is advancing toward the end of his career. Guard Kyle Kosier has suffered injuries the past two years, and missed several games in 2008.

As you can see, it was implied he might replace Flo or Kosier...

Nope, there was never that implication, like I said from coaching staff. Yes, thet talk was maybe about Kosier. Like someone posted above, Media speculated on Brewster being a Guard, but coaching staff wanted him to play Tackle, and RT. Maybe he practiced few times at LT, as he should, just like Free does at RT, which came in use.

But Free is projected as LT, no matter how much Cowboyszone resident scouts think he is not good enough to be LT. At least by coaching staff he is.

As time goes on, I'm beginning to think this is what the OL looks like at the start of the year:

LT: Free
LG: Kosier
C : Gurode
RG: Davis
RT: Colombo

I think by the end of the season it might look like this:

LT: Free
LG: draft pick
C : Gurode
RG: Davis
RT: Brewster

Of course, this projection is pure speculation and we will know much better once they put on the pads and play a couple of preseason games. I think we have to change both tackles if we want to stand a chance in preseason. I also think Kosier needs to become a backup so we can get someone a bit more physical in that spot although this is less of a need presently.

What I really don't want to see is the same 5 guys trot out there. That would be a major case of denial.
