While you are generally correct, if Carolina loses to Tampa and wins the following week against the saints both teams would be 8-9 and then Tampa would win based on the 3rd tie breaker (they both would be 4-2 in division).

So Carolina has to win out, or Tampa has to lose out for Carolina to win the division I believe.

Edit: See below. I done goofed.

He had Carolina beating Tampa

thats division

it goes by division record if theyre tied not head to head

No head to head first then if they are tired it’s goes to division plus if Carolina wins both games they will be 5-1 in the conference

Plus Carolina could not be 8-9 with out beating Tampa lol

You are correct. The simulator didn't show their record when I had them losing to Tampa and beating NO. I was thinking they were tied right now haha darn overtime win.

2 way tie goes head to head first how long have you been watching NFL wow

Now actually, if Carolina beats Tampa and they both lose the following week then NO wins the division. That I did not realize was still a possibility.

At least according to the playoff simulator and assuming NO wins next week as well (against the Eagles). A loss by NO against the Eagles in this scenario and Carolina would win the division at 7-10 haha.

New o would have to win both games he had them losing both so that was never a scenario he had

Yeah, I just didn't even realize they could still win the division.

Never was talking about 3 way tie

Never said you did. And it wouldn't be a three way tie anyway. In that scenario (NO winning out) it would either be a two way tie with Tampa winning the divison, or NO winning it ourtight at 8-9 with both Tampa and Carolina at 7-10 (depending upon the results of Tampa vs Atlanta).

Correct was making point that Brian B saying Tampa would win the division with Carolina and Tampa tied at 8-9 he was wrong on national tv that was the point
