[Was listening on the way to work so this is just a summary]

After giving a ton of praise to Minnesota and New Orleans, when he was asked about the Cowboys, he said he had to put us right up there with Minnesota.

He said Tony Romo is on pace for a 27/9 TD/Int ratio.

He felt that Philadelphia, Dallas and Minnesota were all in the same pack.

[/END]

I love that most of the best teams in the NFC are on the schedule. This game against Philadelphia will be huge.

Lots of people are now "giving props" Its predictable. I get a smile for half a second, but it really means nothing. Just like it meant nothing when they were all "whats wrong with the cowboys, wade wont last the season, Tony stinks" three weeks ago. These talking heads opinions are all based on what just happened, no one has any real insight or foresight. Every season has its ups and downs. I am now consoling my Giant fan friends who are "done with football" reminding one of them that he said the same thing when the Giants were 0-2 or 1-2 (I forget which) and won the super bowl the same year.
If the Boys whip the Eagles and then the Packers and are 7-2 I will begin getting excited, and these tv people will be crowning them, even Wilbon and Rod Woodson will grudingly say theyre pretty good. We will see.

That's the one that gets me. I want so bad to believe that we can walk into their house and stomp their ***. I just can't fully get on board with it. I don't know if it's the Saints curse or what, but they've beaten us the past 3-4 times we've played them (and a couple of those they were AWFUL teams). Throw on top of that the fact that they are looking more and more like the 07 Pats, and I think our chances take a hit.

What really sucks is that if we manage to beat them once, we'll have to do it again to reach the Super Bowl.

Will New Orleans look the same as they do now? That game is a month and a half away. There's a lot that can and will happen between now and then..

They're pretty impressive. But i wouldn't put them in the same league as the 07 pats. That team dominated everyone they played. This saints team has had some tougher games already. Atlanta played them pretty tough last night, and if it weren't for the interception on the goal line, who knows what would have happened. Matt Ryan had some very costly turnovers last night that ultimately lost the game for them. Atlanta very easily could have walked out of there with a win.

And lets not forget that sanchez basically handed them the game when they played. He had i think 5 turnovers and they were still in that game.... And the Jets aren't looking as good as we all thought they were

John Clayton on Mike and Mike

Host: Who will pick up?

John Clayton: The Eagles and Cowboys are getting strong

John Clayton: As they start to play each other, losses will mount and they are probably looking at a 3rd Seed

John Clayton: In the NFC East, they will not get the top seeds

John Clayton: And don't forget about Arizona

John Clayton: Again, if you are looking for teams in the NFC East other than Minnesota and New Orleans, it will come out of the NFC East, but they won't get the #1 Seed.

I assume that means New Orleans at the top level and Dallas, Minny, and Philly next .

No they haven't

But 5 in row (excluding a Cowboy preseason win) is still a lot.

You could have simply shown the saints data instead of showing all the nfl teams.

Thanks tho!

I'll respectfully disagree. They HAVe had some tougher games. they prevailed. Much like the 07 Pats. They are scoring on pace with the 07 Pats and they actually have a defense that clamps down when it matters most (much like the Pats).

We could have very easily walked away with a win against the Pats. We didn't. So could the Giants (in the regular season) they didn't. That's why they remind me of the 07 Pats. They are racking up points like a slot machine and are finding ways to win even when they don't play their best game. It wouldn't surprise me a bit to see them go undefeated in the regular season (it also wouldn't surprise me if they didn't).

As it stands, RIGHT NOW, I don't see a team out there that can beat them.

Have you guys REALLY watched the Vikings? Their D' is quite a bit better than the saints: plus they have AP and you saw the way the falcons RB (Turner) gouged them last night: I think they beat the saints IN MINNY> but I don't think anyone beats the saints in the big easy: that stadium is nuts. Hope we can but.....well, that stadium and their fans are too much. Talk about LOUD.....my gosh.

We can beat the Saints...their D is vulnerable, and the boys have enough offensive firepower to go toe to toe with them.

The Vikings are tougher, IMO.

I've watched EVERY Vikings game (my wife is a Minnesota native and hardcore fan). I've also seen them get beat. I saw them barely beat the 9ers (on nothing short of a miracle), and have a win gifted to them by the Ravens kicker.

The Vikings are one miracle and and choke away from being a 3 loss team. Now, I have to give credit to them as I did the Saints. They DID find a way to win. At the end of the day that's all that matters. But they look A LOT more vulnerable to an *** whoopin' than New Orleans does. Adrian Peterson or not.
