As a die-hard Bama fan I have to disagree. You can't have Minkah potential if at no point in college, you displayed any of the attributes that made Minkah great. Yes, Branch can tackle but imo he lacks ball skills and overall tenacity. I would compare him more to Xavier McKinney than Fitzpatrick.
It’s fair to say Minkah had 1 year of + ball production…but that was it. Outside of that he was on par with Branch. Didn’t he play CB early on? No idea if all the picks were playing CB.
I agree. Minkah's sophomore year was his best for + ball production. He played the star position his last two years at Bama, so a mix of cb and safety. Maybe I'm wrong about Branch but after watching him the past 2 years as a starter, I wasn't impressed. He played great in the Sugar Bowl against K State but during the season he and everyone else in that secondary were beaten a lot.
