Hey I watched the USC vs Penn State game and he really stood out to me. He is a very solid tackler and i was just wondering if any of you knew where he is projected to go. Could even play in our system?

Thanks in advance!

He's projected late 1st to 2nd round, last I checked. I just hope he's not the next Bobby Carpenter and Ray is his A.J. Hawk. He would have to play ILB here, although he has played some DE, I don't think he's a 3-4 OLB.

ILB is what I think he would have to play here too. We are just going to be needing some LB's if Burnett and Zach leave. I was shooked to see someone actually make a form tackle unlike alot of our players here. :(

i personally drool over a lot of USC players, but as a USC fan i'm biased.

i tend to lean toward the opinion that Cushing would be gone by the time our pick came around.

the guy on that defense that's under the radar whom i have my eye on...and i'm not sure where he's projected to go, but it's the "other LB"

everyone talks about Maualuga and Cushing, but Maiava is a very solid LB, and i think he has the speed and frame to succeed as a 3-4 ILB, and i believe he can cover also. he is not as good a cover LB as Cushing, but i like the kid and think he could be a solid LB.

I was just looking at Maiava's stats and they are better than Clay Matthews', who NFLdraftscout projects as a 1st day pick

Kaluka Maiava is a weakside OLB on a 4-3 team. He's listed at 6'0" but having stood right by him, I can tell you he is 5'10", 5'11" maybe.

Brian Cushing can play all linebacker positions in the NFL and will be a star. He has started at the following positions while at USC:

LOLB
ROLB
MLB
LDE
SS

The kid is a football player.
