Brian Schottenheimer: The effort is right. The fight is right. Mistakes are killing us

The Cowboys are outcoached every week. The team is better than this, much better. The coaches is very sub par. But it is too late to fix it. There is no one to act as interim coach and no one they hire from outside to take over the team at this point. We have to live with this until next season. But I do think Jerry is going to fire the entire coaching staff at the end of the season.

I believe Collinsworth intimated as much last night. He stated that this team has too many good players for them to be struggling this bad. And he's right. We can call out the players as much as we want, but's it's a reflection of poor coaching.

To use an analogy: a platoon of experienced, competent soldiers is likely to have different results executing a military assignment if led by a green 2nd Lieutenant just graduating from officer school, than a seasoned 1st Sergeant who has several combat tours and commendations.

Stop calling timeouts for the other team, dingus.

I believe we are seeing the complete unraveling of this team, and the blame can be put squarely on the shoulders of our HC - if Schotty even deserves that moniker. There was a reason why nobody put him in charge of a team for more than two decades. His presence in the NFL is nothing more than sympathy for this father. The culture he has established is softer than Charmin toilet paper - ironic since it is used for the equivalent of what this team has become.

I acknowledge that the number one reason for this sorry excuse for a football franchise begins with Jerry. As someone pointed out, he doesn't take Coaching seriously. And the facts back it up. Only Jerry would give four guys the reins of a once serious and successful franchise who were never offered another head coaching position elsewhere: Dave Campo, Chan Gailey, Jason Garrett, and now Brian Schottenheimer.
