Brian Stewart sucks...

That's my point, it's not like McNabb threw a pass right at someone like Romo did on his int.

Our biggest breaks on D came on simple mistakes like dropped passes and bad handoffs. If that pass is lower, Westbrook gets a 1st down there.

It's not like McNabb fumbled the ball in the endzone giving up a TD on the spot. We made some mistakes and they made some mistakes and in the end we over came our mistakes and won the game.

What is worse is that came after a Philly penalty for ten yards... They would have recovered from a 2nd and 18, if McNabb makes that easy throw..

Well there's no arguing he made our D look pretty bad all night, we couldn't bring the guy down. I don't understand how anyone could have seen it any different.

On the plus side, Romo exposed their defense as well. Their secondary certainly isn't as good as advertised, and neither is ours.

I really believe Wade's defense needs 3 good pass rushers to be effective. Let's wait until we get Spencer healthier until we crucify him.

With all this talent and a showing like that?Sorry Wade your lil pal must go away.He is weak and his weaknesses as a coach are covered up from our Offense shining.

kick rocks!!!!! they are playing zone...the yards comes with the type of D it is.....i think in the first half everybody was just hype, its monday night , the last game in Texas Stadium....just think if our hearts were pounding watching the game. imagine being out on the feild...all the negative stuff gets old. Dallas won!!!

My main concern isn't the scheme itself, it's the fact that the scheme doesn't fit the personnel. Why take a huge gamble on Pac Man, known throughout the league for his superior press coverage, only to use him as a zone DB? Same goes for Jenkins, who displayed a similar skillset at the college level. Then you have Newman who can bump-and-run with 95% of WRs in the league. And there's Henry who's strength is his size and ability to be physical and jump underneath routes.

I'm not at practice obviously and dont claim be be more knowledgable than the coaches, but on paper at least the personnel in our secondary screams for a more aggresive style of coverage.

Good points... we do have a lot of man guys for a D that like zone.

Our defense can make the receiver drop a ball or cause McNabb to throw inaccurately although no one is around him. Thats how good our defense is

Um, did you not see Carpenter coming on a delayed blitz, leaping into the air with his arms up, forcing McNabb to try to throw over him?

On the replay, it looks like Carpenter might have even tipped the ball.

Spencer was in the last year, and when they had the Ware-Ellis-Spencer package, the Cowboys defense wreaked havoc. The problem is, Wade totally stopped using this package and once again went to his standard straight rushes in the play-offs, not utilizing that personnel even once.

Play still doesnt make Carp not Soft....

If Zach had his frame he would be a beast....

Hopefully Jerry sees the light and Drafts Big Rey from USC..

You can't teach intensity and Rey has it....

Carp is still soft no one said other wise however the fact still remains that he was the reason that the ball was thrown so high however people are failing to acknowledge that point.

Thats right because the coaches can never do wrong.

The players are the ones who make those ******* game plans.
The players are the one who refuse to mix up coverages.
The players are the ones who refuse to play their players at their strengths.
The players are the ones who arent that good in zone coverage but they still put themselves in it.

Its all the players. There is no such thing as equal blame.

I said there was blame on both but I damn well know things like penalties start and end with the players. No coach tells his players to grab facemask and they don't tell them to jump off sides anyone who has played this game understand the rules and what you can and can't do as a player. A coach can harp on it and as someone said you can bench a player but let me ask you, do you want to bench Ware? How about Adams you want to bench him? So tell me how do you stop these penalties?

you get them to sign a contract thats what wade did last season......

my coach used to run us extra hard for penalties so some type of punishment would be fitting.

And what did Parcells do? It comes down to the players to correct these penalties. I have no doubt the coaches from Wade to the coordinators to the position coaches and their assistance are harping on the players about these flags

I have been a Cowboys fan since the mid 60's.

Over those years, I have enjoyed the good times, and died a little during the bad.

Trust me, Monday night was one of the "good times".

So if you aren't happy about winning against a Division rival, one that has owned us recently, ... against a really good NFL QB that some said played better Monday than they had seen in quite a while, then I feel bad for ya.

You may never be happy.

Do we have room for improvement, sure, it's only week 2.

We outscored them 17-7 in the second half. We scored the go-ahead TD, and then stopped them twice in the last 5 minutes to win the game!

Quit complaining that were weren't perfect, quit acting like you know more about NFL football than Philips, Stewart, etc.

You need to enjoy this, this was one of the "good times".
