"I would want to, yes," he said. "No matter if we are in the playoffs or not, I still have a strong dislike for Dallas. I still am going to go out there and fight like we have an opportunity to get into the playoffs .

I wonder how many of our players feel the same way about the Eagles? Do our players have the emotional quotient to win this game? History says NO!!!!
I say NO!!! too. Sorry to say, I have no confidence in Wade or the team to get up for this.

We are in the playoffs, now. Its one and done, Sunday or when we get into the playoffs. The record is replete with bad omens. We don't win the last game of the year since 1999, we don't win in Philly, we don't win playoff games, we don't win in December.

I will be watching. Wearing my T.R. shirt but I fear the Pokes will rip out our hearts and stomp on them one more time. The only question is how. Will they get a punt blocked in overtime? Will they fumble as they go in for the winning score? Will Gurode forget the count and hike the ball off of Romo's pads into a game changing fumble? Will T.O. drop a sure touchdown or Romo overthrow Crayton streaking down the middle? :banghead: Only time will tell. Come on Wade make me eat my words!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure all Eagles players do, as do all Cowboys players have a strong dislike for Eagles players. No big deal.

He's probably the only Eagles player I admire, or have respect for.

Can't say I haven't been disappointed all week long after the whole 82,77 yard debacle. A broken remote and no voice later I'm coming back around. Especially after x-mas party at my g-ma's last night. My cousin is an Eagles fan and all I heard last night was him talking trash. Then I read this crap from Westbrook. I'm about fed up with that dirty *** city, and crappy fans that I can handle. I hate Philly more then any team honestly. More then Washington or the NYFG.

Don't know why, but Bradie James is gonna be a wild man for Dallas this week. Out of everyone I think he took it personal what happened. He's the captain and in charge of that D on the field. He's the one guy who's always ready to bring some energy and passion on the field and I admire and understand to an extent where is is coming from. So, Mr. Westbrook I think you better take one extra look where #56 is at. He's gonna be coming like a freakin freight train breathing fire.

which is why I do not understand why the Cowboys help this bum up after tackling him. I really wish we would stop doing that. Nasty, viscious, focused teams do NOT do this. In fact, the Steelers TRY to hurt people. Which is why teams get a lot of players injured when playing the Steelers. We have some the biggest athletes in the NFL....win or lose our OL should make the opposition wish they had stayed home that day. Larry Allen used to give OUR ENTIRE team and idenity. No one would even try to intimidate us because they KNEW they would have to deal with #73. For someone that knows better....is Leanord Davis considered nasty? Is he as strong and viscious as Larry Allen? He is definitley bigger than him. But Leonard Davis needs to punish everything he touches.

I understand what you're saying, but while the NFC East may have the rep for being the most heated division in football, everybody knows it's Dallas vs everybody. We've always been the most hated and as much as folks in New York, the DC/Maryland area, and even SF may hate us, Philly is without a doubt the most bitter.

Maybe the Eagles should be worried about facing a resurgent defense with a fierce pass rush and coming off a disappointing loss? Maybe Sunday is the day the Romo/Williams era kicks off or the offense that has time and time again shown to be capable of putting up huge points gets the spark it needed? Maybe this sends the Eagles into the off season with an embarrassing loss in front of their "fans." Maybe in a hail of batteries. Maybe it's them that should be more worried.

Other than being an Eagles player why does he hate Dallas so much? Except for a few games he usually has great games against us.

I cant exactly say I admire him but I respect his game.

it's not surprising to hear him say that. The Iggles have all sorts of incentive to beat us and I think #1 above all else is that it's Dallas; be it week 1 or week 17, it's Dallas.

2nd of course is, even if Tampa wins, win and kill Dallas' playoff hopes.

3rd has to be winning their home finale. After Dallas blew theirs last week, it's a chance for them to say "This is how you finish things."

I'm sure Jim Mora's words have echoed through their lockerroom this week... "Playoffs??" It's probably the last thing on their mind because it's the one thing that they have least control over.

Dallas' incentives should be: #1 BEAT the Eagles @ Philly! #2 SWEEP the Eagles! #3 Win and piss off all those eagles fans. #4 Win and in.

No one should really be surprised people have become pessemistic, it's not like there's no history or truth to it. Also doesn't mean you're not a fan or going to root for your team. Cowboys have crushed their fans over and over again for more than decade, figures eventually negative reinforcement kicks in and you start expecting the worst while hoping for the best.

Very well said. I love me some Cowboys but I have been so disappointed since Jimmy Johnson was let go. Even the 95 SB, which I had the great pleasure to be at was not a signature Cowboys win. Hell, if it wasn't for Neil O'Donnell throwing directly to Larry Brown we don't win that game and it is the last time we won a playoff game.

Holy Cow, Batman, it is time to turn this around!!!! Come on T.R. protect the ball. Common OL start showing some grit and pay attention to the count. Hey, T.O. catch what they throw you. Hey Red, stop being so conservative. Employ the two minute offense right away. Get the ball snapped with 8 seconds left rather than 1. Let's play like we mean it!!!
WIN an IN!!!!

Let's see, backs against the wall, must-win game with a lot of pressure in December against a division rival; yeah, history does not favor this bunch - notice I didn't use the misnomer, team, to describe the Cowboys. I haven't seen them play as a team much this year.

I wish them luck but I'm not going to get carried away with it either way.

But you won't...and that will be the difference. You can talk about it all you want Westy, it won't be the same.

No sir, if they have no chance, they won't be a very tough matchup, especially if we jump out early. Those of you who say they come out fired up simply because they're playing the Cowboys make me laugh. No, they are going to convince themselves that they have a chance leading up the game, because they do. But you folks can't tell me that looking up at the scoreboard RIGHT BEFORE our game starts and seeing that their hopes have been totally dashed won't be incredibly disheartening to them.

A lot of players for the Cowboys could benefit from having Westbrook's attitude. No wonder he's such a good player.
