He belongs in the booth, retire westbrook retire.

hehe

Word is, he's looking to finally get paid this offseason, despite still being under contract. I hope he goes the TO route to get his payday this season, both because he deserves it and a RB's lifespan is too short and because I hate the eagles :)

He's 28(he'll be 31 when his contract expires in '10). Of course, he's a VERY dynamic player, but he DOES have health issues, especially with his knees. Not saying it will/won't happen, but the Eagles' FO may find it hard to try to give him Top 5 RB $$$$. It wouldn't surprise me at all if they open up trade possibilities-IF they do, you could see a Herschel Walker-type trade compensation of astronomical proportions.

Well, there aren't many RBs who DON'T have health issues at the age of 28, it's actually if you look at the data the age at which the average RB starts to decline. So I wouldn't give him more than a 3 year deal or so, but we'll have to see what he can swing... right now he's VERY underpaid, and it's probably his last chance to score a big contract.

Also, I've always been in favor of NFL players holding out and all that, what with teams being able to cut them at any time and also the violent nature of the sport, it's important for them to look out for their financial well-being.

While that is interesting, I thought we would win before Mr. Westbrook chimed in with his opinion.

Well, here's a guy who has actually played against both teams for a total of 4 times this season. We listen to all those talking heads on tv, all those puffed up former players and coaches who hardly even watch the games anymore... now we have the opportunity to hear from a guy who's fresh off a season where he's studied and played against the personnel from both teams!

There's not a team out there that would give anything more than a first-round pick for Westbrook, let alone multiple high-draft picks.

Means as much to me as those four current players the NFLN hired to be talking heads and cover the games this weekend.

Didn't he have microfracture surgery, or was supposed to have it? At his age, with that condition, I'd agree that it would be tough to put up much for him.

Would have liked him to comment more on the defenses, as I'm sure he knows more about that side, but still good to hear.
They definitely will win the game, I haven't felt this confident in a long time.

I thought the analogy between Burress and Owens was a good one. Burress had that similar ankle injury early in the season, didn't practice but has really been able to show up on game day. I think T.O. does the same.

I believe he tore his ACL in high school(and had a hip injury then as well playing pickup BB)-so his injury history dates WAY back. And I believe b/c of this, he had trouble finding a college(until he lucked out with Villanova).

Like I said-without a doubt, he's a dynamic player, and alot like Owens with our O, he's the engine that makes Philly's O click, but b/c of his health, he's not guaranteed to be that reliable.

I just don't think that's the same at all as a guy who has played both teams several times very recently offering an expert opinion.
