It’s pretty obvious Butler isn’t coming back. He’s clearly not happy with the way this season went for him.

If there’s any truth to this, it certainly explains some of Dak’s struggles. In the history of league, you can count on one hand the number of quarterbacks who could shoulder such responsibility in their second year. Hint: The Cowboys have never had one.

He may be right, but he is writing his ticket out of town.

It’s clear he doesn’t want to come back. He made a comment that he has to be the starter next season or he doesn’t want to be back. He’s not going to be a starter for the Cowboys or anyone else.

I’ve made it a point that I thought it was the case and part of why everyone regressed this year. But butler really shouldn’t be saying stuff like this, even if true, if he wants to get on a team. Even new teams will not appreciate him airing the laundry.
