Who else would have played? Switzer stayed back and its not like Butler can't use the reps. He did exactly what he should have done with them. Stand out and make it be known he is a force to recon with. No reason to be disrespected.Should Butler feel disrespected that he even had to play in the game? He was the only WR projected to make the team to play. The coaches could have communicated to him that they needed a WR to play that knew what they were doing to properly evaluate the QBs.

There are plenty of camp WRs where he could have not played. But I was asking the question, not stating a fact that he should be disrespected.Who else would have played? Yeah he is no different than Collins, Heath, or Brown imo. I answered the question, he shouldn't feel disrespected. He needs the reps. There are plenty of camp WRs where he could have not played. But I was asking the question, not stating a fact that he should be disrespected.
TWill didn't get paid the big bucks. If Butler continues to show up like he did last night he will be getting a bigger deal than TWill next year. He's bigger than Twill. He's faster than Twill. Has better hands. This should be a no brainer. But with Twill getting paid this off-season i don't see Butler staying in Dallas after this season.

Could be his breakout year !It's all mental with Butler. He has all the tools to be a very good number 2.

Butler is playing for a long term contract !!!Agree. The great thing about his position this year is they will be able to pick and choose matchups to get him the ball on those medium to deep routes. He could be the WR version of Marion Barber III, the guy that comes in for big plays.

Hope he can be the player he should be this year with all the speed and size !!!
