As the most disappointing season I can remember comes to an end, I would like to take note of some bright spots this year:

Sean Lee!

Roy Williams.

T. Choice.

Doug Free!

Dez Bryant.

Beuhler!

Jason Garrett!

Thse are things that went well in my opinion. Some better than others. It is a good starting place we find ourselves in for next year.

I'd have a hard time putting Beuhler or Williams on that list.

Williams had a good 5 game start and then seemed to disappear.

Beuhler is still too inconsistent to call a win just yet.

Free has been better than a lot of "experts" projected, but I don't pass on a blue chip LT in FA or the draft because of the play of Doug Free. He's had some help in occasions against top flight DEs. Ideally, I'd love to get a solid guy at LT and move Free to RT where he was absolutely brilliant last year.

I am good with the list as is, would be hard to fine any good with the D overall.

Roy is getting open, but most important, he is catching the ball. I wouldn't trade him for Crayton right now. With Williams back on track, Austin ( who btw is not having a great year) and Bryant will own defensive backfields once Romo gets back.

Beuhler isn't Akers, but he is getting better. I really expect him to make the kicks now. Stick with this kid. The touch backs and special teams tackles he contributes is worth the odd missed 59 yarder. "side, he might be the safety we have been needing.

And on the side, what about Amendola? Kid has skills.

Buehler is among the lowest in FG percentage yet, but he's certainly been getting better lately. Its a tough gig, and this is his first season doing it. Certainly changes how you prepare when you have to hit FG's and be expected to boom kicks down the field every week.

As far as overall value that he brings to the table, i'd stick with him at least another year, because with his kickoffs and coverage ability, I think he gives us more overall value than any other kicker in the league.

Really the biggest issue this year has been the 2 attempts that he's missed from between 30-40 yards. If he had just hit those, or even one of those.. we're all probably talking about what a great year he's had.

I know that won't mean much to some, and yes he still did miss those kicks. But again, he's been showing improvement, and as a kicker he gives us added value with his booming kickoffs and extra tackler on coverage units that no other kicker in the league could give us. He also is showing a good mentality for the position in being able to forget about missed kicks and he's come back to hit some big ones for us.

LOL why is Roy up there? He hasn't done jack since Week 3 against Houston.

He is an average reciever nothing more.

I hope he is gone next year. We don't need him we already have two bigtime wideouts in Dez and Miles.

And when your big time wideout breaks his ankle?

Praise Zeus that the closest some of you guys will ever get to coaching or working for the Dallas Cowboys is in a Madden video game.

I agree with all of youtr positives especially Garrett, with the exceptions of Roy and Buehler.

Williams crappy out-route and slip contributed mightily to our loss on Sunday, and let's not forget Thanksgiving. Crayton has about the same number of yards as Roy with about half the snaps (let's not even mention the cost). Buehler isn't #1 like Akers he's more like #18, Like Buehler and should be canned IMO.

:laugh2:

Its like some didn't even notice his connection with Romo this year.

All you need is 2 starters, if one goes down you can always make a trade to pick up Andre Johnson, and then get Randy Moss in free agency..

It literally takes 30 seconds people.

Tap the brakes.
Roy Williams.
Not sure just how bright his spot is, but he has improved.
T. Choice.
Taster's Choice? Meh...
Doug Free!
Doug has served okay, but I think there is a lot of room for improvement. A. Lot.
Dez Bryant.
KaSHAPOW! After whiffing numerous times, you hit this hard and rang the bell at the top. THIS player was a revelation this year.
Jury is still out, but I think they are voting 8-4 on acquittal right now...
Jason Garrett!
See above, but they are united 12-0 on the "at least he's not Wade" charge...

You know, I'd like to think that, but this year showed us how totally awful we are at the right side of the OL(D) with Davis and Colombo, we have no pass rush outside of Ware, our ILB's are suspect against all plays, and our secondary atrocious. I would say on balance, I find ourselves at the end of this year far further away from the promised land than I thought we were before the pre-season games began...
