I know this probably isn't popular, but he can't be any worse than Checkdown's performance yesterday. Here are some positives for Bartel:

• He has a big arm and can make all the throws
• Mobile QB who can make plays with his feet
• Plays with an attitude and fire

I know he doesn't have regular season experience, but he does know the system and looked OK in preseason games (albeit against 2-4 string players).

With this offensive line, we can't afford to have a statue back there who's trying to get the ball out as fast as possible.

If we are bring back Bartel we might as well trade for Dan Oloskvy.... or bring in Ricky Santos....

Yes I am sure that would solve all our problems. Dude has never thrown one regular season pass in his life. Romo returns next week and checkdown returns to #2.

didn't Romo get hit like 19 times and get hurt a week ago? We need a good QB, not just a mobile one. Until Romo gets back we're in trouble.

I never said it would solve the team's problems. It would just give them a different option that can't be any worse than Johnson.

Hell put Crayton at QB run the Wild cat he can throw some also or put Stanback there.

You sound pretty confident, I'm not many will agree. Johnson is a proven vet who won the super bowl a few years ago. Yes he is over the hill but you are comparing him to a complete unknown. In that instance, you always have to go with the experience. Besides, if Bartel was so good why did we sign Brooks B. instead?

You know, I wish we would have tried that.

I think we should do it. When Felix gets back run the option with him and Stanback. Switch it up or something.....

We saw that experience and leadership shine through yesterday, didn't we?

While he didn't play well, that doesn't change the fact we gave up to many points to win. A few Wild Cat formations couldn't have hurt either!

That's your solution? Just because it works for one team, doesn't mean it will work for others.

I figure the only way the QB won't get sacked is if the person has a 4.2 40 speed. So put a WR back their and go to work!!!!!!!

Obviously what we tried yesterday didn't work so why not? And I didn't say that was my solution. It was another posters idea not mine.

If we would have had Bollinger then I could see cutting him.

Brad can't even complete a 30 yd pass...

I agree he sucks but a rookie who has never thrown a pass in a real game can do better? Sure he can't do much worse but I doubt he could do better.

Yesterday Johnson completed a 34 yard pass to M. Bennett and a 36 yard pass to M. Austin. Just saying......
