Right so would I but the value of him knowing the system and playing better after Garret took over and at a vet min contract. I think that works. Win win gives more depth along the line.

I'm all for it. BIG can still play for sure, you don't go from being a force on the o-line to being a pushover in one year. He needs discipline and he needs to be pushed. But I doubt he'll take vet minimum, at least not for a few more weeks.

why on earth would Davis play for the vet minimum? He's certainly not worth the money he was going to get - but he is certainly going to find a team who gives him more than the minimum.

Also, the idea that a player would want to sign for multiple years at the vet minimum is ridiculous.

Davis' time has come and gone to prove himself. His skills have very clearly approached that fatal level of non-existence. This would be a good time to forget about him completely.
