Bring back Davis

What would you think if we brought back big Lenard Davis at a vet min contract for a couple of years. Let he and holland battle it out and who ever wins starts.

Fans fail to see he was one of our best linemen out there for most of his tenure. But last year...let's blame everyone last year for the coaching transition and everything.

I was in the vast minority about liking the cuts. While I do agree with the RW release, because of cap reasons, I think we don't have anyone good enough to replace Leonard.

Yada yada, he's fat and slow doesn't get it done for me. He's an offensive linemen. They're all fat, slow and outta shape.

Bigg will do good somewhere. Guy is a beast.

This reeks of a thread born from desperation. Davis was terrible last year considering his salary. Missed blocks and couldn't pull. Why don't we bring back Roy Williams and Ken Hamlin and give them a go at safety as well.

Heck no...Davis sucked. He was a huge reason why we had trouble converting short-yardage situations. Let's be real folks, Davis isn't the same guy who played for us in 2007 anymore. Time to move on

If we felt Davis was expendable, then why would we want an expendable player and his perennial benchwarming backup to be the guys vying for the job?

Why bring back Bigg when there are other guys out there who are younger and better at this point in their careers?

Davis was the weakest link on the OL. I would let a rook play before I brought him back. I can accept a rookie making mistake like he was but not him. That is just a waste of time, period.

Watching Davis get out of his stance was brutal last year. His game is predicated on getting out of his stance, getting his hands on you and dominating the point of attack.

He could not do that in a phone booth against even mediocre DTs. He was dominated repeatedly as guys would beat him to gaps and he would end up off balance and out of the play.

I do not know if he is lazy or just washed out but he is cooked.
