He did really well the short time he played that position.

A full off season of conditioning would have him ready game 1 of the season.

LT Tyler Smith
LG Jason Peters
C Tyler Biadazz
RG Zack Martin
RT Terrence Steele

LOL wanting Jason Peters back with Tyron Smith only as swing tackle.

Tyron Smith, when healthy, will be starting. You just wait and see.
Tyron Smith will be the backup swing tackle, you can no longer depend on him to play every week....The way his contract was reworked indicates that to me..

Tyron Smith will only be sitting when he's not healthy. Again, you will be wrong and this take is stupid. You put the player who will perform better on the line.

The argument isn't whether he'll be healthy for a full season. The argument is a healthy Smith should be swing tackle - he won't be, he will be starting because he's one of our best lineman. If Steele wants to start, he will have to hope Tryon moves back to LT and Tyler moves inside to guard.

Also, Steele is the one who is injured right now.

My friend. Tyron will be the starting left tackle until he gets hurt. Tyler will be the left guard. Jerry won’t want him sitting on the bench. He wants his money on the field. Look at the Zeke debacle with pollard

No. Let Peters chill at home. You already know Dallas is one of the very few teams he would likely come back and play for. So let him relax, and if needed at some point during the season you give him a call.

Nah, let the Peters thing go. He stepped up for the team last year.

There is NO argument about Tyron Smith being healthy, He hasn't been healthy in 5 years
His contract was reworked for him to remain on the team so he can retire after this year, if he didn't agree to reworking his contract, he would have been cut, ala Zeke
If you haven't seen the video last week, Steele is well on his way back to being ready for training camp which is 4 month's away....
Steele is a better right tackle than Tyron Smith was filling in last year.
The Cowboys aren't going to play musical chairs with their O-line, they want Tyler Smith at left tackle, Steele at right tackle, that leaves Tyron battling as the backup swing tackle...
Edoga was signed to compete inside since he's not a great tackle along with Farniak and a draft selection and anyone else the Cowboys sign for camp, LOGIC tells you fix one spot on the O-line, not playing musical chairs when Tyron injures himself in training camp or preseason, which he will do because his back is pretty much shot!!

At his age and experience level, I want Peters as my emergency gameday fill-in at all of the spots except for center, but I do not want to plan on him starting for any amount of time.

Yeah, you're adding to things. I'm not arguing speculation.

Again, a healthy Tyron Smith will be starter day 1 unless he is injured. That was the only argument - he is not a swing tackle, that is Steele. I PERSONALLY want all three of these guys on the field when healthy.
