Bring in a vet CB for depth?

I'd feel a little more comfortable with a little more depth at cornerback and would like to see a veteran added to the group we've got now. The available free agents list from what I see is nothing special but there are a few average players available that could be quality depth.

What do you guys think? If you could pick one of these guys up, would you and which would it be and why him?

Seriously....watch out for rookie free agent Saftey Church and CB McCann, they could factor in on a final roster spot above Watkins at Saftey and others competing at CB.

Will they be ok with being the 4th corner? Wade isnt going to pull scandrick from the slot and jenk and newman obviously have the starting jobs.

I've always been a Dre' Bly fan for no particular reason. I wouldn't mind giving him a look...

Whoever it is I think we should look at some of these guys. If not to bring in now, then to bring in if/when someone goes down for a long period of time. I don't trust one of those rookies to be the third corner for any extended stretch.

We need a backup C before anything else. We're 3-deep at CB and just drafted AOA who played CB.

At C all we have is Gurode. If he gets hurt, we lose that position and LG since this would force Kossier to shift to C, which he has never played in the NFL before. And we have no pure-C OL draftees in place either - just a bunch of guys trying to learn that position for the first tie, just like Kossier now is.

So backup CB is clearly not the achiles heel of this team that needs strengthening; backup C surely is.
