How does everyone feel about trading for Alex Smith, hoping for a scenario like Drew Breed had when he left the Chargers for the Saints .

Lolwat? At least Brees looked DECENT in SD. I swear some of our fans our clueless.

I would no longer be a Cowboys fan if we traded for him. Good thing it'll never happen.

If someone can turn Alex smith into a drew brews clone..... I'm in...

I actually thought about this the other day.... then laughed at myself.

This is at least the second thread on this topic, so the OP does not have sole possesion of the worst idea of the eyar award.:D

Clearly the world is ending.... Clearly the Mayans were right.

Rather than chuckle I will play along...

What does Alex smith do better than Romo that would make this trade worth it?

Playing with an elite Defense or better head coach doesn't count as an answer choice.'

Romo has a better arm

Romo has better mobility, and pocket awareness

Neither are leaders

Neither are good decision makers.

I don't make this trade unless Harbaugh is included.

Oh my God.

Yes, lets pray that a guy who's never been more than a bus driver can suddenly turn into Drew Brees.

Drew Brees before he left SD was a guy who averaged 3300 yards, 26 TDs and 11 INTs in his last two seasons there.

Alex Smith has 10 more TDs and 3000 more yards if you add up his last 4 seasons.

He's never shown he can be a producer. He's a good game manager but that's it.

I wouldn't trade an Ogletree for Alex! Don't even want him being 3rd string, much less a starter. He is just a notch above Tebow IMO
