He's certainly fighting for it. Sounds like he's impressed lately, but could be too late.

He'll have to impress wonderfully in the last two preseason games to win a roster spot. Not an impossible task to pull off if he's fortunate enough to get the opportunities. There may be room for another good WR. He was a late arrival to get familiarized with our offensive system, so it's good to see him having the light come on now. That is, if it's not too late for him to vindicate himself impressively enough to stay. After his anemic start, I'd say he'll likely have to put on a helluva show.

I thought swain had no chance but he has proven to be much more than advertised
The talk was his blocking but the kid is a solid reciever and may develope into a very good blocker too
The question becomes do you trade Hanna or carry 4

They have to keep him if he continues to work on his blocking. He compares favorably to Witten. And, Witten was an adequate blocker when he was drafted; Dan Campbell showed him how to be a blocking TE. He (Witten) can do the same for Swaim if he makes the squad.

I think they keep four TEs. The fullback (Clutts?) is no DJ.

Not opposed to 4 te's , the depth is nice to have and risky to lose
But if I could get a draft pick for Hanna I'd have to consider it being as you lose him soon for nothing

That would be the best option but it has to be at least a 6th-round pick.

Well...There was a reason no Longhorn was drafted in 2014. Not Strong's fault either at what has happened to UT.

I hope Strong gets at least two more seasons to turn it around. Tyrone regressed last year and I heard no one can beat him out in practice so gonna be a long season for us Longhorns. :(
