The Eagles were very fortunate that Hurts hit in a big way. At the time of the Wentz trade, they had no idea what would happen at the position and were going to have extra draft capital to trade up for another QB the following season. If Hurts didn't hit, they could of made a trade like the 49ers did for Lance and set them back for years.

I know it's frustrating, but the Cowboys have always prioritized skilled positional, star players over players inside the trenches. They are starting to finally get it.

As for trading for a player, think they can improve their defense if they acquire a high end press corner, this would allow them to play extra men inside the box and become more consistent stopping the run. However, don't think there is 1 offensive player who can make such an impact. Believe a player like Henry, would still have issues running the football behind this OL. Maybe a receiver has a bigger impact, but like Henry it's contingent on the OL playing better.
That's the thing, Hurts didn't hit. The dude sucked before he had an ideal situation around him. Similar to Tua. These QBs didn't get better, they got an ideal supporting cast. If the Eagles don't trade for AJ Brown and have a top notch OL, Hurts sucks. His supporting cast masks what he can't do. In fact, you can see some of it bleeding through.

Henry isn't an up the middle RB.
I think with decent blocking Henry can excel anywhere along the line. But as long as we keep running the "Don't block the defensive end" play no back is going to be a good fit in our offense.

The video starts where he starts his rant.

With all due respect- these guys don't know what greatness is.
The Cowboys became great because they were perennial contenders, not by selling out the franchise for one championship.
The Cowboys were great because the entire organization was commited to achieving and sustaining greatness, and they weren't willing to settle for less.
If they struggled, they fixed it.
This organization under Jerry seems happy to just make the playoffs and get their media attention.
And that's why they will never achieve greatness.

This is the thing: the Cowboys love to preach the cap and for protecting themselves "in the long run".

So essentially they keep building and building for a future that never gets here.

At some point they have to live in the here and now and go for it. If it means a couple bad seasons so be it. Fans have been waiting since 1996 for a Super Bowl. If they get another one I will be so happy I won't care if they have a couple five or six win seasons before the next rebuild.
They go for it all the time. Problem is, they have no idea how to go for it. Need football people up top, not Barnum Bro's worshippers.

Henry is the best openfield runner I've ever observed in my life. They simply cannot tackle him.

What he also has is a slow start. Granted, I'm not a Titans fan, but I've seen him fail pretty miserably running up the middle many times. To succeed, they give him the handoff deep in the O backfield, as he needs a running start. Once he gets going, freight train. The teams who have shut him down find a way to get to him early.

If you don't believe me, watch for it, you'll see it.

Who says you have to have no 2024 draft class? What did the Eagles give up for Byard? What did they give up for Swift? Or Reddick and CJGJ last year? These are impact players, and they're not destroying their draft.

The Cowboys are one of the best teams in the NFC, but they're not competing with the other best teams to get over the top. Yet the best team in the NFC still found the need to make themselves better by trading for Byard. If you remember back in the 90s, both the 49ers and Cowboys would try to one up eachother. Neither team backed off. Jerry doesn't play the game anymore. He just steps aside. He's happy with his roster.
Problem is, the Eagles need these guys as complementary players. We would need them to be major cogs. They would not put us over the top.

Before Wentz was traded, they still had a loaded roster. The extra draft capital from Wentz allowed them to land AJ Brown and Carter this year. Eagles have the best OL in football and it's not even close.

The 49ers may have a 3 game losing streak after next Sunday.
I thought you were referring to us beating anyone? You changing the parameters now? Hey, give me some warning when you've given up on a thought maybe?

Ignore that part then and anyone who can help the boys run more successful up the middle. I say that cause it seems that's how they keep running pollard, which i don't see as his strength early in games.

Agree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We need a competent dude to take carries. Someone w/ a quick first step and some tackle breaking ability.
