I don't like that first pick at first glance BUT if we got Lawrence and Turner afterwards, it looks very interesting. I'd still rather have Shazier plus those guys but having a WR like that to put with Dez and Williams, with Witten and hopefully Escobar making strides would be insane. Not to mention great depth with Cole and Harris. Competition and depth at guard. A starter at end, not bad at all IMO.

I actually wouldn't mind this. Beckham is going to be a stud in the NFL and his versatility as a playmaker would be welcomed. I also wouldn't mind trading down either, though, and accumulating another 2nd and/or 3rd. This draft is deep through the first 4 rounds and there are a lot of good players to be had in those middle rounds.

Pretty realistic IMO. I just have a bad feeling about Lawrence at 47. Give me attachou or easley in that slot and I'm all in for this draft.

I see we are taking a TE with our first 7th round pick. :)

I would love if this pick was selected

Kirby Van Der Kamp - P - Iowa State

Finally have an ISU player with the Cowboys.

I actually hope we take him, he was great at setting the ball down before the endzone.

Higher than I have seen Marsh but I wouldn't hate it. Overall very solid. I like the Punter idea...him or Miami's have been in most all of my mocks. Pretty well thought out to be honest.

As bad as our defense will be I think investing in a good punter is probably a good idea.

My son is a rising Junior and met an Iowa St recruiter yesterday. He is 6'5", 265 and plays OT. Praying that he keeps on improving...D1 ball very likely in his future.

That would be a pretty awesome draft. However, I would change a few things:

1) Beckham WR LSU
2) Su'-A-Filo/Yankey or OT Moses/James/RichardsonTenn/Kuandjio AL over DeMarcus Lawrence
3)
Marcus Smith DE Louisville over Trai Turner
4) RB Seastrunk or Sankey over Marsh DE UCLA
5) Pierre Louis LB BC
7) Connor Shaw over Logan Thomas
7) C Gabe Ikard over Spencer Long
7) Goodson CB BAylor
7) Jay Bromley DT Syracuse over Thornton DE Southern Miss
7) Howard Jones LB Shepherd College
7) van der Kamp P

Yankey in Round 2 would be a total reach.

And although I am big on defense, taking Beckham in the first wouldn't be outrageous.

I've seen Yankey anywhere from late 1st to 3rd. Players are all over the board this year. There isn't even a general consensus that Manziel and Bridgewater will go in the 1st round. Fredbeard was a reach last year. So what? Turned out fantastic for us. Beckham in the 1st would be outrageous? Like outrageously good or bad? If you think it is a bad pick, I'm sure you would change your tune if Williams or Dez got injured.
