@BryanBroaddus Bryan Broaddus
Huff numbers if you care 4 years 32 mill....my LSU math says that is 8 mill a year.

So there you go. Unreal.

I wanted him but not at that price same with Weddle.

I don't pay enough attention to cap numbers, I have enough running my salary cap vs my wife's spending. Is 32mil/4 years=8mil a year too much for Huff or are you saying Jerry should have signed him. It seems Jerry wants to mature our current roster as opposed to paying out for a free agent, or possibly get a decent safety through the draft.

Glad JJ didn't pony up that kind of coin for him......

Wow. That's some coin for a safety that's not considered elite.

,,, and this is why Elam, et al are holding out for the big bucks,,,,

if Dallas is going to roll with Holland at guard they might as well roll with Ball/ Church/ whoever at safety,,, don't want to overpay for anybody,,,

Yes and the more time that goes by the less likely Elam will get big money. I think Dallas is being smart by not freaking out and over paying for good players but not elite. Just because a guy wants a big pay day does not mean it will happen.

$8 mil per season was too much for Weddle and is too much for Huff. I'm very glad JJ wasn't anywhere near those guys. I'll pay that for a safety as talented as Ed Reed for Troy Polumalu, but that's about it.

Honestly, with Sensabaugh re-signing for $2.5, I'm expecting Elam to get signed to a 2-3 year deal at about $2-$3 mil per season.

broaddus is becoming one of my favorite dallas media guys. knows a ton about football, and doesn't sound like a homer (spags)

:lmao:

Weddle and Huff got paid some serious coin.

We might end up paying less for 4 safeties than what they got paid. Sensy played really well once wade was fired, As did most the team. He had as many int's as anyone available in FA and cost us Way way less.

I'll consider sensy resigning as a bargain and a good overall move for this team. Glad Jerry hasn't panicked and overpaid just for the sake of making a move.

If we can get Elam or someone close to him then we will have a very solid and sound secondary.

Both. :)

Pricy. He may be worth it but no way to tell without plunking down some serious coin, too rich for my blood.

We really need to invest a high pick on a safety.
