The last few days he has been mentioning over and over how they might be looking QB at 34. Presumably Cook or Hackenburg. Nearly every time he's been asked about that pick lately he's brought up QB. Some people may dismiss it, some may not. I just thought it was worth mentioning and letting people make their own conclusion.
Jones really values that. Its why he didnt trade into the 2nd for FrederickGood thread. Broaddus even hinted that a possible trade-up for one of these QB's could be the plan. I guess the 5th year option is the major motivation behind a move like that. I would be very disappointed if that happened.
Drafting Hack is a wasted pick.
Cook has some good tools.

Broaddus has about as much insight about what the Cowboys are going to do as 90% of the fans here. None.

At least we saw some talent with those TEs they picked. But these QBs really are awful....awful and everyone can see it too.
If that's the case then that's why this franchise has been mediocre the last two decades. There are no QB besides Lynch worth that high 2nd and we have proven that we cannot develop QBs. At top 2nd there will be a lot of talent. Picking a QB is a throw away pick...very sad.
Connor Cook was on the Rich Eisen show this AM. Said teams that showed the most interest were in order 1) SF 2) Dal 3) Den.
They will overdraft DSk in the second and fans will flock to support the pick .
