Broaddus' latest mock

Still dont see them taking Costonzo at 9, maybe in the teens. Particularly with Smith going only 3 spots later.

If PP makes it to 7 there's no chance he's not wearing a cap with a star on it!

Obviously I'd like to trade back and still get Castonzo, but I'd be happy either way. I think he's ready to go tomorrow, has some RT/LT/OG versatility, and is the type of blue collar heady player that Dallas needs on their front 5. I've got Castonzo, Wisniewski, and Moffitt in my mock draft for that very reason. Those three guys could change the entire complexion of the offense in my opinion.

These mock draft guys usually don't include trades, so he may not be saying we'll take him at 9, just we take him

Not to me. If you are going to take Castonzo, you damn sure don't do it at #9. You've got to trade back. Even his upside doesn't make him top 10 material.

That's your opinion, but several different local reporters have said the Cowboys would take Castonzo because he's ready to play now.

And I was mainly talking about the entire top of the first round anyway, not just our pick.

This. Taking him at 9 would be awful.

I think the double trade ups from last year left a good taste in Jerrys mouth.

That wouldn't surprise me at all... Jerry has always latched on to his previous wins and tried to repeat them.

Won't happen. If Peterson makes it to 6, he's ours.

He might be ours at 5.

That is my thinking as well.

I am going to pray the Rosary over this one and I ain't even Catholic. :)

Trades are not a guarantee, so the Cowboys may be stuck at 9. If so, you take the BPA. Enough with drafting athlete's with "potential". Draft football players.

Castonzo is a football player. Smith may be able to play in a couple of years.

I didn't say the Cowboys wouldn't take him, I just said taking him at nine would be dumb. ...and it would be.

Same here. I'll be praying to all sorts of deities lol.

I would love to move down and get an extra 3rd, but I'm fine taking Castonzo either way.

I think the Cowboys are smarter than that. If they want Castonzo they can trade down quite a bit. Goose has him at 22.

Lab I will go with what Don Banks said yesterday, Smith is rated higher on their board than Okung last year. Why do I believe Banks? Because he is not waiting for whatever crumbs Cowboy management drops off the table to make a living. Local beat writers are.
