Agreed. Find a way to keep him on the roster. Itll be tough b/c of the extra linemen we have to carry but w/ the versatility of Ball and AOA hopefully McCann makes it. Im really liking this guy right now

*Rookie Bryan McCann has carried over his solid play from San Antonio to Oxnard. Every day you see him doing something that makes you wonder if the Cowboys would try and keep a fifth cornerback on the roster. Or are the spots just too valuable to have that luxury?

McCann is playing with a great deal of confidence and understanding of what his job is. Have been impressed with his ability to read routes, maintain position and make plays on the ball. Usually rookies are afraid of taking on such a challenge because they don’t want to look bad or get beat. There is no fear in McCann’s play from what I have observed,

He will cover the best when he is called upon to do so. Miles Austin, Roy Williams or Patrick Crayton -- it just doesn’t matter. McCann plays with speed and quickness, but most importantly, he plays with smarts.

McCann seems to have more upside than Cletis. McCann can only keep getting better where as Cletis might have already reached his potential being his 4th year. I doubt you could sneak McCann on PS if he keeps up his solid play.

I just wanted to say "Cletis" while talking in a country accent.

I think it's uncanny how we've been able to cull undrafted free agent talent since 2002.

I want to see McCann on punts some more. If he looks like he could handle that job, I'd think we'd keep him over Cletis. He looked good against the Raiders, and I just don't see Dez doing that full time regardless of what they say right now.

I heard Campo talking about McCann, and the only thing he stated "negative" on him was his size.

McCann looks like a guy who could challenge Orlando Scandrick for the slot CB job in a year or 2, imo.

I've got him on my 53.

AOA has the skill set to play the slot. I'd like to see him challenge Scandrick now, but I'm probably in the minority and dreaming.

There was a good story on him posted here about draft time. IIRC, he had broken his leg pretty seriously.

He was a budding talent coming out of HS.

I hope we keep him around and not hold onto an extra safety. I didn't know he was that fast though.
