Broaddus mentioned trade names to look out for

Imagine getting excited about White?

The reason White is available is because Bucky Irving is a beast.

A beast the Cowboys could have had if they saved that 4th instead of trading for a QB who would never play.

This is like thanking the government for lowering gas prices when they are the reason they are so high in the first place lol.
My sources tell me Jerry is blowing smoke and y'all are falling for it AGAIN.

Don’t worry though I’m sure they’ll tell us they were real close to doing some things but it just didn’t work out

They don't "fall" for it, it's just content for them. They need it like we need air. They will report it ad nauseum all while rolling their eyes.
Jerry’s just looking for attention, and the media falls for it ever. Single. Time

Why would you trade for any RB going into a draft that is loaded with RB's?

I'm also not crazy about trading for aging CB's. The cost would have to be low.

If you are going to trade for something, trade for a position that isn't strong in the draft or that takes a while to develop in the NFL.
I’m not suggesting that the Cowboys will trade for a RB instead of drafting one, but the Cowboys have put themselves behind the 8 ball so to speak by having more holes than draft picks.

If you fill a hole with a draft pick at RB it’s probably going to need to be a 2-3 round pick. You might get a contributor (committee) back later than that but we don’t know where the backs will be gone and we don’t have a 4th so there’s that.

You can probably fill the RB void with a later round pick (5-7) and we have a few of those available. Or it may be all smoke screen this time of year. Who knows.

I agree with this in general but they signed quite a few of their own players plus like 10 outside players including two FA running backs. So, they have taken "shots" to free themselves up when it comes to drafting. (whether those shots are worth anything or not is to be determined)

I absolutely agree they should draft another RB. But I think they have some flexibility as to how much they invest in that position via the draft.

This
These Joneses are such morons

What's your dislike for him you say it over and over and over  :)
His evaluation on players, going years back. He seemed to be wrong often.
He picks several players, some he props up like they are already HOF, many times he would rag on a player over and over. You know, like some do on here. Most the time being wrong about them.
He will also flip flop on players.

He lost me when he said Mazi had mental issues and he did not mean about learning and playing football.

Who he leads his analysis out of it, and just reports what happened in TC, as to what plays they ran, he was great. As long as he leaves his scouting out of it.

Many fans hate Mickey calling him. company shill. Well, I do not like Broaddus and his disdain for some players right off the bat.

Your personal opinion I hear ya!

I've been missing a couple games the last few seasons, and i expect this season to be no different.

There's two possible outcomes when it comes to the Dallas Cowboys.

#1 Fall apart during the regular season.

#2 Choke early in the playoffs.

A little patch work with the usual Dallas Cowboy's/Jerry drama won't lead to an outcome that isn't listed above.

Trading for a RB makes zero sense unless the Cowboys don't get one by the 3rd round and the board is picked over.

And even at that point, I would just as soon go with JaVonte Williams and Miles Sanders instead of giving up assets for White or Etienne.

Just draft young, cheaper talent. Signing an old guy like Gilmore that costs no picks is fine. But giving picks and a huge salary is nuts. This draft is deep at RB. Some good prospects that you don’t have to use a first rnd pick on. Getting to oline to play better is the key to the run game

Here's one seemingly reasonable answer...

Because it allows you to spend a 6th or 7th round pick (ie, sent to the other trading partner) to remedy a void in the starting 22 instead of a 2nd or 3rd.... and the ripple effect being... you get to upgrade at another position with that 2nd or 3rd instead.
