Broaddus on player agents sticking it to Jerry and Stephen

its all up to players and agents. Are you telling me that the Chefs are awesome deal makers because they are getting mahomes for Brady like chump change? They are getting Mahomes for chump change ONLY because Mahomes is letting them have him for CHUMP CHANGE.

Mahomes could have a clause in his contract... hell, he could go to the Chiefs today and demand this clause be added into his contract that says he has to be paid 1 dollar more per season than the highest paid QB in the league and the Chiefs wouldnt even question it. They would agree and ask if hed like a nice ice tea to go with that.

Playing in Dallas warps these players views of themselves because they think that it is actually them that is the reason for so much attention in the world. If Micah played in Seattle, as Isiah Thomas once said about a certain white guy, hed be just another good player.
Of course the player has something to do with it. Josh Allen signed a deal for $5 million annually less than Dak. Allen said he didn't need to be the highest paid player. I doubt the Bills would have let Allen walk if he refused $55 million.

We will never know probably, but I wonder what Dak would have done had Jerry said there is no way Dak was getting $60 million. Would Dak have taken $55 to stay in Dallas? To me that is an important question if I was the owner. I get the feeling Jerry did not push back on Dak, maybe because he felt QB contracts would continue to escalate. None of the top QB are due for new contracts I do not believe so it could be Dak is the highest paid QB for the next few years.

Check out the Eagles and the looming cap disaster.
Check out their Lombardi actually won in this current century.

The Eagles and Rams GMs have proven you can build it, win a SB, blow it up, and come back strong very quickly.

Our "GM" is still stuck in the 1990s and will stay that course

Wait till we see Parsons get north of 45 million per.....Jerry ain't pushing back on nothing.

Of course Parsons and his agent aren't doing it for the money as much as its their responsibility they have to the "Brotherhood of Linebackers"

Trent Seig needs to do the same for the "Brotherhood of Long Snappers" as well when his contract comes due

I think Parsons getting $40 million is a big of a coup for him. He is a great player, IMO, but $40 million is a couple of million too high for me.

I'm in agreement with Broaddus on the agents sticking it to the Cowboys. The only way to break the cycle is to call their bluff and let a big-name player (or two) walk.
They open their big mouths all the time. They telegraph everything and disrupt everything with their ego.

Dont know where this came from, but Fisher said Yesterday that Lamar Jackson is aiming to get 70 million per. I didnt even know he was negotiating a deal. But it is what it is. the contract keep going up and up and up and unless teams start drawing a line in the sand, they are going to always be at the players mercy. I think we constantly get screwed because our guys are constantly being talked about in the media.
