Broaddus says he was told by Cowboys that they would not take Hampton at 12

Rumor is they didn’t want that competition over Mayes head.

They signed Dobbs who is a competent backup who won’t challenge Maye.

If Maye struggles, they won’t rush to put Dobbs in. If Milton was there, that puts Maye on a short leash.
It’s probably a little bit of everything. McDaniel is an arrogant prick like Belicheck.

I'm afraid that all of the top 4 backs will go before 44. Jeanty, Hampton, Henderson, and Johnson. Then Judkins will be gone before 76. 5 teams will get a better back than the Cowboys. Watch two of them will be the Giants and Washington.

This is kind of how last year broke. Each round they planned on a RB but had better value and then right before getting their back someone snagged him. Then it got to the point they didn't like anyone more than Rico so they abandoned the position.

We may need to go a bit earlier than wanted this year.

Milton is good in a hurry up offensive scheme in a spread formation. Limit the thinking, space everything out, one read and sling it

Then you build from there at a rate he can handle. Time and reps and you can work your way to more reads. The thing is you have to have coaches committed towards the player. It's a big ask and usually something you'd only hope to get with a first round mortgage the team type of qb. Even then often times coaches try to fit a square peg in a round hole.

Joe looked good vs the Bills, and it looked like he was reading the field well. A Pro style offense may suit him better, especially, with a good running game.

A first round back with no special trait. Ok man we'll see.

Running a 4.4 at 220 is kinda special imo.

I dont know enough about college to argue either way, but if we took him at 12 I would trust it was a good selection. Although I'd be happy with Tet, Golden or Warren as well.
