I Like Justin Hunter.

To me, this is what they need if they're looking for a WR.
Big, tall, fast, high upside WR that will take the top off of defenses.

Of course, not in the 1st though.

And yes, I still prefer online, dline over WR all day in this draft.

But I like Hunter in the 2nd better than Tavon in the 1st if you forced me to choose.

Sounds like they are targeting a secon round WR. I wouldn't be surprised if tr draft went OL, WR, RB the first three picks.

There's no particular reason why Hunter can't end up being the best WR in the draft. I like him better than his running mate.

It brings up a value question--especially given the team's needs at Oline, Dline, Safety, and RB.

What is best for the team

Tavon Austin in the 1st
Justin Hunter in the 2nd
Marcus Wheaton in the 3rd or 4th
Josh Boyce in the 4th

I'd take Wheaton in your scenario.

The draft is full of good WRs from rounds 2 to 5. There just isn't an elite sure-fire classic #1 WR in this year's draft who has put up 3 years of solid numbers. They all have some holes in their games.

I'd be okay with a second round WR although unless he is an elite deep threat who will pair well with Dez and let us release Miles next year if his hamstrings don't cooperate fully in 2013. Otherwise I'd probably prefer to wait until the 3rd or 4th round.

I think the first two rounds should be devoted to the trenches. Based on the way things look to be shaking out, our best move may be to do DL with both picks so we can unload Spencer and Rat next year. With the money saved we can probably buy ourselves an OL. In the meantime plug the hole with Brandon Moore who will probably play better next year than anyone in this draft. I think the best OL on the board at both picks we hve will be reaches. Unless we want to trade down I'd suggest avoiding OL until the 3rd unless Cooper is available in the first.

I really like Patton from LA Tech. 6'2'', 195lbs, runs a 4.4. I think he'd be perfect opposite Dez in a year or so.

I don't see him being there at our 2nd pick. We would probably have to trade back into the late 1st early 2nd.

Reminds me too much of Roy Williams. Not worth the cost.

-- Tennessee wide receiver Justin Hunter is apparently the top-rated receiver on "around 3/4 of the draft boards, because he's clean off the field, and he projects as a number 1 receiver." Hunter is now viewed as a solid 1st round and could go in the top 20 if a team like the Rams likes him.

That is a terrible comparison. They are nothing alike.

I like him alot too. Nobody talks about him.

He reminds me of a better version of Dwayne Harris.
