I agree 100%........you have a chance to lock down the position for the next 3-4 years.....cheap and fresh legs. In fact, this would be a good time to start a system of recycling a fresh/new one every 3-4 years. In other words, in 3 years, I'd let one walk and draft he replacement.

Dobbins and Williams are better then Dowdle but we need to draft backs that don’t have knee injuries/Achilles injuries like them.

The more I think about it, just draft two and keep Deuce to have a vet presence in the room for rookies to lean on.

You don’t think the Cowboys were going to keep Deuce. No one on the team other than Bebe understands the new blocking scheme as well him. I bet Deuce leads the Cowboys in rushing this preseason.

Not sure.........he was a healthy scratch for 10 games. 52 total snaps in 7 games. But my point was encouraging them to keep Deuce and pair him with 2 rookies, rather than signing a vet from the outside.

I just can’t get over how small he is. Deuce looks like a video game character. If they are keeping CJ Goodwin can’t see why they wouldn’t keep Deuce.

Id be good either way. Im really not afraid of leaning on two rookies. However, while the vets wont blow you away, they wont be expensive either. Im not against signing one and still double dipping. If we we draft a back in the 5th or 6th after taking one day 2, I dont have a problem with that guy being our #3 back this year

I think this is the first year of a two year rebuild for the Cowboys and there are more than 15+ draft worthy backs. Let’s get two runners in here between the 3rd and 5th rounds, then let them fight it out for top dog. I wouldn’t complain if we drafted 3 backs because I guarantee the 6th round will have a 4th round graded back sitting there, hungry and mad he didn’t get drafted early.

This RB draft is so deep you can get a guy in the 6th-7th round that's 4th/5th rounder in another draft. With a RB room as empty as ours, it's foolish NOT to draft at least 2 IMO.

Jeanty at 12 and Tahj Brooks in the 5th. Problem solved

There is absolutely no reason not to use the draft to restock the RB room.
