I have my doubts about Ratliff's injury. I think there's more to it than that. I think if not for the cap consequences that the team would have cut him a long time ago.

If he is allowed to train on his own maybe they can renegotiate his contract. I don't understand why they don't use this as a bargaining chip to get him on the field?

Why on earth would he renegotiate?

Well, I said this during the off season, I did not expect Ratliff to ever play another snap for the Cowboys. However, I honestly thought we'd cut him loose. We didn't do that and he's still here but honestly, I don't see him ever playing for us again. You can't put your hands on the owner and expect no repercussions.

Still believe he will never play another down for us. See what happens.

The Cowboys would probably need to release other players right now in order to release Ratliff before the end of the current NFL season because they do not have enough cap space to absorb the dead-cap money that his contract would create (for this season).
