Most yards by a rookie TE breaking a record going back to 1961 and Mike Ditka .

Speaking of which Jake Ferguson and the other two TE’s on the roster in Dallas have been less then spectacular .

Mike did it in 12 or 14 game season, so to me it wasnt really broken.

brock is good, seen a couple games with him.
That is a long standing record, and alot of good te have come and gone.
the fact it is just now being broken, tells me that was a stellar record set by ditka, he was good and got the targets.

Jake gets all the targets, they rarely throw to the other TE, so hard to look good if they wont throw to you.

Same is true of Barclay and dickerson record, Barclay only got 2001 in 16 games, so he cant break the record, but they will say he
did lol.

I agree with everything you say . Probably a 14 Game schedule when Ditka played . Dickerson record again 14 game.

As to your comments on TE in Dallas . Ferguson seems to have taken a step back and maybe it’s not all his doing but he’s become a 7-8 yard safety valve when WR’s are covered .

I’ve been commenting on this board for months Schoon at his height should be a downfield target at least 15 yards PLUS and they never target him . Spann Ford no targets .

At least these 3 are not about to leave Dallas on expiring contracts. OL & TE are bottom needs come April draft .

I hate when they compare stats between eras. Ditka played in fewer games in a league that was run oriented and under a different set of defensive rules. It is far easier in today's game to amass offensive stats.

Totally bro.

When you have a phenom at QB like Cooper Rush operating in this cutting-edge passing attack, there's no excuse for Ferguson and Tolbert to not put up numbers.

Folks forget that Kyle Pitts put up 68 rec. and 1,026 yards as a rookie. He's played with nothing but absolute scrubs in his time in Atlanta. If he ever gets paired with a competent QB, he's a guy folks are gonna be like "oh, yeah, I forgot about him..."
