Signed by Cowboys Brock Hoffman signs his Exclusive Rights deal

People -- this is not news.

We just have to offer a minimum contract and he has no options. The only guarantee here is that he comes to TC.

I did like the edge that Hoffman brought but this contract isn't endorsement from the team.

I like this, keeping both Hoffman and Thomas. Good moves.
This off season so far has been night and day compared to last year.
This includes the new coaching staff they brought in.
Yes still in question how Schotty will do. But so far, can’t really complain much.

Still early though to see how they do from here.
A lot of people in the league and the media like Schotty.

It fills a roster spot on the oline with an experienced player.

I like this guy! A warrior not afraid to mix it up.

as i always say when posting about the o-line......DUMP STEELE.

This offensive line has needed some attitude for a few years now.

Good keep. Like this guy. Like keeping Goodwin also. Thomas signing is certainly OK at the price. Osa is a good keep but perhaps a bit overpriced.

IMO it was a given that the Cowboys would resign many of their own FA guys and they would extend Parson. All expected stuff.

The big question is what goes down with FA off other squads or perhaps trades. Are they going to make moves? or are they still timid and overly cautious?

Yeah, it is actually funny people talking about this being a great move, but there was no question that he was coming back just like there was no question about Juanyeh Thomas. I pretty much expect the same with the restricted free agents as well. I am looking forward to see if we actually spend some money on impact free agents this year.

Good job here. He proved he's better than just a backup. Plus he has the attitude that could work well with K.Adams.

SideNote: speaking of attitude, I wouldn't mind if Dallas signed Will Hernandez for depth. He's older, has experience with Adams, and that nasty attitude.
I can absolutely see Hernandez coming to Dallas, but I doubt it happens without a starters contract. He has had a couple of very good years with Arizona and seemed to be even better in 2024 before the injury.

I like Hoffman. I like that they signed him, and I like that they are moving quickly to get these deals done. This is a change. I still think they are a long way from beating the Eagles, it has to start somewhere so this activity early is a good sign. But, I need to see a lot more before I am convinced anything is going to be different.

Good move, kind of a no brainer.

Nothing but speculation on my end but if the Cowboys are looking to go get FA OL help possibly in the likes of Will Hernandez do they consider trading Hoffman? On one hand he is an ideal backup, super cheap contract, and is good enough to push for a starting role. On the other hand I would imagine that a stock rising guy playing on a $1.1m contract would bring a decent draft pick back. Would you flip him to get a 4th round pick back?

I fully expect Hernandez and jack Sanborn to sign here by about next Wednesday
