Speaking of great HBO series, I've just finished watching the first three seasons of The Wire on Netflix, and now I'm moving on to season one of Deadwood.

The last I heard HBO was going to end the Deadwood series with 2 two hour movies but I haven't seen anything more on it.
And the next season of The Wire, the 5th, is the last also.
I personally have never cared for Curb but then I didn't watch Seinfeld either.

I watch one episode per night while I run on the treadmill. That way I keep myself motivated to run because I don't let myself watch the show unless I'm running. It's like my carrot at the end of a long stick! :
As for Curb... I don't see how anyone could be into it if they didn't appreciate Seinfeld even a little bit. Obviously, if you never watched Seinfeld, it wasn't from lack of exposure!
Curb is superior in many ways, but is naturally very similar in tone and attitude. And if you didn't like Seinfeld's outlook on life, you're not going to like Larry David's because they're one in the same.
Any other good TV series on DVD that anyone wants to recommend?

If I had all the previous seasons on DVD or they had them all on demand I would probably be a regular watcher of the show.

But Club Soda and Salt is an episode my wife and I love to watch over and over.
Other very funny individual episodes are:
Season 1: Affirmative Action
Season 3: Terrorist Attack
Season 4: The Survivor
Season 5: The Ski Lift

I don't know what it is about this show, but I LOVES it.
Do yourself a favor and at least rent the first couple of DVD's from this series.
You will NOT be sorry.

We are currently on Season 4 of Curb and we can't get enough of it...
It's great to be able to watch episode after episode when the current one is still fresh in your mind. It makes it better for series like Curb (and Seinfeld) that carry jokes over from episode to episode...
We atched the entire House series until we caught up. That was awesome...
I HIGHLY recommend "Scrubs". I used to watch episodes from time to time and found it interesting. Once we rented the DVD's I found it to be one of the funniest, best written, best produced sitcom's of all time.
Watch the extras and you'll appreciate the show even more.
I think we ares starting "The Wire" next... then Deadwood...

One reason was because he tried to hand his keys to a black man because he happened to be wearing a red vest and standing next to the valet stand.

I can understand how some people may not like Curb since the show pretty much revolves around the real life George Costanza. Some people may find that annoying. I like Seinfeld a little better due to the balance and interactions between the main characters.
