I've had a few. Not sure if I can remember all of them.

First one I can remember was breaking my big toe on a diving board when I was eight years old. That one kinda started the ball rolling.

I started skateboarding when I was nine, and I had enough broken bones within the first two years for my parents to stop buying me boards...making a paper route a necessary evil. Broke my nose and knocked out three teeth on a launch ramp when my face came down on one end of my board while the other end had just touched the ground. That was fun.

I broke my radius, my ulna, and my jaw launching off the side of a halfpipe in Nova. Two weeks later I broke my right foot (a couple of metatarsals) jumping off of the same 10 foot ramp.

Cracked my shin skateboarding so many times that doctors think my shin bone looks like a serrated knife.

Took a board to the nose again when I was fifteen trying to learn stairsets.

Broke my left foot playing soccer the same year.

Broke a clavicle jumping my KX125 about six months after that.

I got a broken rib in a fight my senior year of high school.

Freshman year of college sucked. Broke three toes at an elite soccer camp right before I was supposed to go to my first college practices (had a big toenail torn off and a tweaked hamstring to boot). I took a shoulder to my chest at full speed (so was the other guy) during the third or fourth game which separated my sternum from half the ribs on my left side. Funny thing was, he was the one that got knocked down while I stood over him, but three minutes later I was on the sideline trying not to vomit. I quit playing organized soccer after that.

Skateboarding and snowboarding continued to mess me up though. I broke both wrists within a year of each other at a new university. My professors thought I was insane. The final blow to my legs came when I cased the bottom of a 55 foot tabletop jump and shattered my heel bone and blew my knee to ****.

Cracked my coccyx riding a YZ250 when I was 27.

I got my cheekbone smashed in by a cop with a mag-light during a fight in VB because I was defending myself and I didn't realize it was a policeman hitting me from behind. The black eye lasted ten months.

Broke my jaw again skating a drainage ditch when I was 28. I didn't realize it for two more days, but I had also chipped three vertebrae and torn a muscle between my shoulder blades. I think it's still torn.

I'm not fragile. Funny thing, I never broke anything playing football.

Which reminds me, forgot that one in my list. Improper positioning doing bench presses will hurt you real bad. After 24 years I still feel that one when the weather changes. I'll prolly go to my grave with my tail bone reminding me of youth.

LOL Tomson, that was rivaling Evel Knievel. Nice list.

Sadly, I haven't learned my lesson's well enough. I still skate, snowboard, and ride dirtbikes whenever I can...and if I ever have children it's likely I'll still be doing it with them.

I forgot about my #3 knuckle on my right hand. That's been grenaded for about nine years too. :D

I just pray that the next bones I break are doing something other than riding my choppers.

Lmao...I'm trying to wrap my head around how you could possibly break your butt doing bench presses. It's not working. :D

Instead of having the full length of my spine flat on the bench, I inadvertently arched my back enough to place too much pressure on my tail.

Thanks for laughing at me. *#%*@!#+-&%# batch!

:D

No laughing here. Injuring your ribs sucks. Of all of the injuries I've had, separating my ribs from my sternum and snapping my achilles were the most painful...at least in regards to whether or not I would ever be able to deal with the trauma again.

Skull fracture at birth (forceps, we think)

broke right bird-flippin' finger playing tackle football w/o pads

broke a couple of ribs when I hit a metal building (sledding down a steep hill at the middle school, struck a stump that was covered up with snow, and careened into the football equipment storage shed)

broke my big toe chasing my dog (sock caught in the carpet and rolled my toes under, snapping my big toe)

deliberate: had my upper jaw not only broken but completely removed, excess bone shaved off, cut in half and widened (Type I LeFort segmented maxillary osteotomy) In addition, my chin bone was cut at a 45 degree angle, pulled up and reattached with titanium plates and screws (as was my jaw)

Lets see I broken my left pinky finger swatting at a basket ball broke it again when i went to the hoop another time and got bumped fell funny and broke it.

Broke my right index finger when trying to dig up a spike in volleyball and it hit it straight on

Not sure this is consider a bone break but I chipped part of the posterior process of the talus off garbing a long rebound by the 3point line and no one was even in breathing distance of me but i came down funny and a year later I ended up with surgery to remove it. (yes it caused big problems to my ankle)

Broke my pinky toes on my feet, I broke the left twice on corners of coffee tables and the such. Broke my right pinky toe rolling in Aikido are mats separated my toe got in the crack and went pop (That was like 2 years ago)

Most of it minor stuff

Broke my right ankle and had the large leg bone (fibia?) knocked out of place

When I was in Highschool I got the bright idea to stick a plyometric box infront of the basketball goal in our gym to try and dunk it...it didn't end well for me.

Now I have a plate and 5 screws in my ankle.

Tell me which foot is normal? :D

Ha, sorry this thread isn't complete without a picture, ha.

Broke pinkie playing basketball.

Broke right leg falling off the porch when I was like 1.

Was knocked out cold my freshman year of football for 60 seconds, had a concussion.

Sophomore year I broke my left leg and tore every ligament in my ankle playing football. Picture above is the crazy swelling, I could literally push the bone in and out, ha. I had a metal plate and 8 screws put in. Basically the same injury TO suffered. Broke my thumb catching during baseball, it didn't heal all season.

Junior year I tore my ACL and miniscus during football.

Senior year I broke my jaw and had it wired shut during football.

And I think thats it, ha.

I am so glad to hear that this happened to someone else. Not that I'm happy for his pain or anything, though it sounds like you were pretty giddy over it. It's just that I know I'm not the only doofus to do it.

I have had a broken nose from a car accident..... thats it. Now, if u ask about surgeries, that would be a whole new story.

Me, too... ate the steering wheel of my 67 Camaro when I failed to make a turn in an ice storm, and wound up in a ditch... only had lap belts in that thing, so I went nose first into the steering wheel... opened up a big gash in my nose, and deviated the septum on my left side... I was only driving the Camaro because I'd just blown the engine in my Jeep Cherokee about a week earlier, and it was in the shop getting a new one... went from two nice vehicles to none in a week, I did... happily, I had the financial wherewithal back then to get them back on the road (and in the meantime, I bought a 69 Impala for 500 bucks that I had fun pushing through the lousy weather, not really caring if I wrecked it)...

I've also broken a bone in my foot, all of the fingers on both hands, most of them twice, two of them three times (playing basketball)... it seemed like I spent most of my college years with at least two fingers taped together... had both of my occipital orbits (the bone socket under the eyes) raised for me, at different times, so that I now have higher cheekbones than anybody else in my family... I also broke my right ankle in the exact same spot three different times, the last three times I stepped on a basketball court...

I've broken a coupla ribs at different times, again in basketball games... seems that most of the damage I did to myself over the years was in basketball games, though I did once separate my shoulder playing golf... and I have at different times broken the hamate bone in each wrist, though I couldn't tell you exactly how... I suspect it was during the course of a golf swing in each case...

And I broke my neck when I was 21, got clotheslined in a pickup football game on a punt return... didn't find out I'd broken the neck until 25 years later, when I went to the emergency room with muscle spasms in my neck, and they did a head and neck X-ray that revealed the fracture...

Mercy, the things we put ourselves through, in search of "fun"...

When you had the broken ribs could you find a comfortable position to sleep? I couldn't and the slightest move in the night was agony.

Nope... that was the worst of it. If I did manage to fall asleep, it only lasted until I moved even the slightest amount, which would cause the pain to wake me up instantly. Another bad part of having a broken rib is that eventually you have to sneeze... and cough... and go #2... all of which are very, very bad.
