I agree 100%. I like McDaniels...he was chewing some tail on the sidelines after stupid penalties and has tons of energy. Don't think I have ever seen Coach Cupcake do much other than stand and look dumbfounded.

"chewing some tail" and yelling and spitting all over the place does not = good coaching. If there's nothing behind all of the hollering, what difference does it make?

I just want someone thats new, fresh, can relate to the players, and has a new perspective on the game of football. The time of Cowher, Gruden, Wade Phillips, Norv Turner, and all of these other guys has passed. Even Tony Dungy to an extent, although the Colts continue to roll even after Dungy so that goes to show what a great product he put together (a la Tampa Bay).

To each their own

I personally would like to see more of it from coaches instead of being robots like the coach he just beat.
Uh....screw that. I take Belichick over him any day of the week.

If this ain't proof positive that people laughably overrate fist pumps, I don't know what is.

:lmao2: WOW.. Definitely idiots with flags. They tried to call that taunting but he had obviously tossed the flag before the taunt. Does not compute. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: That's pretty good.

I hate to see if you win the lottery

I'm talking about emotions not coaching style.

No. This is one of these teams where the better QB would not make them a better team as counterintuitive as that sounds

Cutler makes this team worse, actually. A lot of those throws Orton has made, Cutler throws picks.

Do we get to hire a new OC to call and design the plays?
No, Jerry, looks to Cowboyzone to draw up plays in our threads. The best plays are used in that week's game plan. Should your plays be chosen, you are given moderator status and some Ginsu steak knives.

I shall agree with that and how I posted was not the intent. The intent of chewing tail was in regard to a coach showing he has some fire and that he will not accept the dumb penalties. The Boys' have been making those penalties for years and I don't get the feeling by watching this coach and the previous one that they really seemed to care.

I'm saying Denver better with Orton because of team concept. Cutler is more talented.

Yeah, I can agree with this. The Cowboys' penalties and mental errors in games means one of a few things that I can think of:

a) our schemes and terminology is complex to the point of confusion, which is on the coaches to make it easier for the players to understand. This is a case that I think is realistic because it's not like it's just one dumb guy messing up, it's different players all the time.

b) our practices do not center around repetition of what "right" looks like, effectively making us sloppy on game days. You play like you practice, and while we probably run plenty of position drills, we probably don't work on basics. When I played, we used to have weekly pop quizzes on the playbook where coach would call out a play and we'd either have to diagram it, or verbally walk him through the pre-snap and the play itself. Our practices are probably plenty tough, just not the kind of tough necessary to eliminate the dumb stuff on Sundays.

We need a coach that's going to play to our players' strengths, work on the little things in practice, hold players accountable for mental mistakes (not just in press conferences) and reward players for great plays. The best we get after a good play is a fist pump.

Agree. Cutler would try to make plays on his own as opposed to trusting his teammates to do it. Orton drives the bus and it works.

That first year head coach thing. I think this is the most underrated aspect of today's game. Players and teams seem to play so much better when it's the first year of a new regime.

I hate the Pats with a passion, but I hate terrible calls even more. That was a total screwjob.

The wussifing of the game is inexcusable.
