Broncos fan here,
Lots of good matchups in this game that can go either way I believe. I am going to be attending the game and am very excited because it is my first game this season I have been able attend.

Dallas does have a great running game and I don't think anyone can argue that. You have a large powerful line and 3 good backs but only 1 of those backs may be available to play. I don't think that we will underestimate your ground game and will stack to box with 8 men most of the game. Out of all your running backs Felix Jones scares me the most but it sounds like he will be out this game. You would be concerned with the ability of your o line to stay fresh and effective later in the game due to the effects the altitude will have on them.

Denver has a much larger front seven compared to last year since we have switched to the 3-4. Our linbackers and lineman have been getting great push and the only weakness I see is quick backs being able to get outside against our larger and slower OLB. Our two cornerbacks and safties have been sound tacklers in the run game.

Whoever controls the line of scrimmage will control this game and win I believe. It should be an amazing battle all game long with our front seven or eight when Dawkins is in the box vs your power running game.

Whitten is obviously a weapon that should concern the Broncos and I believe that we will make it a priority to stop him from killing us over the middle. He is your best weapon in the passing game and may be in for a big game.

I think that we match up very well with your wideouts with Champ and Goodman. They are both very good cover corners and will be left to cover you WR man for much of the game so we can focus on stopping your run game and Whitten. This may leave some decent 1 on 1 matchups but I dont expects Romo to take too many chances especially with Champ on one side of the field.

Do not underestimate the Broncos pass rush. I think that our OLB match up well against your tackles and Doom and been able to get pressure all season long (six sacks in the last two weeks). The Cowboys may have to look to go to 2 TE sets to try to give Romo some time.

Broncos offense vs Cowboys defence

I believe that we will try to establish the run and that the Cowboys will put their main focus on stopping the running game. We have 2 backs that have looked good so far this season and both are entering the game healthy. Our line in many ways is the opposite of yours. We are smaller and athletic and still employ are infamous zone blocking scheme and we will cut at your knees at the line all game long. While we may not be as effective as running the ball as the Cowboys are does not mean that we do not possess a formidable running game. We have the best run blocking TE in the league in Daniel Graham. If we are able to run block well I see your defence getting worn down as the game goes on in the altitude.

Our passing game has been unspectacular but also mistake free and effective at controlling the clock. Orton does not do well under pressure but thank god for our teams biggest strength which is pass blocking. Clady and Harris are phenominal pass blockers anong with rest of our line. Orton for most of the season has had all day to throw the ball. We have several weapons in the passing game that the Cowboys must acount for. Stokley, Marshall, Royal, and Gaffney are all good NFL WR. Stokley and Gaffney have seemed to be Orton's favorite targets but do not sleep on Marshall and Royal for they are both our most talented players in the passing game.

Your pass rush is good but not a great match against our O Line. Ware is a monster and will demand double teams most of the game. The game really depends on if Orton can make effective smart decisions against your defence and continue to not turn the ball over.

McDaniels and Nolan have put together impressive game plans two weeks in a row against bad teams. I am interested to see what kind of game plan they will have in store for the Cowboys.

I do not see this game being a blowout. I expect to see a very physical, competative game that will be decided in the fourth quarter.

Cheers to what is hopefully a very entertaining, physical, and injury free game this Sunday.

I too, think it'll be a close game.

That comment about your O-line "still takes out your knees" worries me though.

I know Richard Seymour got ticked off on Sunday and pulled Clady by his dreadlocks.. Wonder if that had something to do with it.

Here's hoping for a clean game... because we can't afford any injuries on the D-line.

I must admit Denver's running threat doesn't worry me that much. We've gone up against some formidable rushing attacks the last two weeks (Jacobs/Bradshaw, Williams/Stewart) and those guys were non-existent.

As a Cowboys fan, I'm more worried about whether opposing QBs can pick us apart. We made Leftwich look good and Eli Manning have a career day. Thankfully God graced us with Delhomme last night. I'm not sure Orton is good enough to pick us apart, but we'll see.

Twelve personnel is the Cowboys base offensive set. The Broncos will see a bevy of 2 tight end formations regardless of protection.

Both Witten and Martellus Bennett (the second tight end) are excellent run blockers, and are two main reasons reasons why the Cowboys can boast the best rushing offense in the league.

You guys have been effective in stopping the run but we like to run out of the spread which your defence has yet to face and we are also a very good screen team when our athletic line get into space to block.

Nice post... hope you stick around through the week.

I have to admit I've paid no attention to the Broncos so far this year, so the info is appreciated.

FYI, there's no "h" in Witten.

I haven’t seen the Broncos much. Maybe a few minutes here and there from watching the RedZone. But obviously people have misjudged this team. They are a talented and well coached team.

I think the best thing they have going for them is their “confidence”. The Broncos also have a great home-field-advantage. Will be very important for the Cowboys to get off to a quick start. And Dawkins is a monster, he is a Cowboy Killer (the Cowboys know him very very well). I knew he had alot more left in the tank...Romo and the offense needs to account for him on every play. In coverage he can be taken advantage of. Look for Witten to go down the seem. I like our chances against the smaller d-lines, they tend to get worn down as the game goes...and they will in this game. Losing Felix is tough but that will just allow the offense to put some very long time-consuming drives together. Like most games, this one will come down to turnovers.

Going to be a fun game. Will be a big test for both teams.

All of you are failing to consider the most important factor here, which may very well decide the outcome of this game and is most definitely in Dallas' favor:

The Wade Phillips Revenge factor!

Funny.

Wade is a classic example of good cordinator that fails as a head coach.

Oh, yeah, high-altitude boy?
Well, here is what the Cowboys are gonna do!
First, we is having a big meal there at the Golden Corral. Then our Cowboys will dismantle your offense and batter your defense like Flozell Adams does a pork roast! Yeah, I said it!

We will burn your cranberry fields and take your women folk and offer them our charms. We will break your dishes and chop down your trees.
We will, by our wits, destroy every vestige of Bronco arrogance that you have and will have and then we will avenge any act that needs avenging and then we will sack your villages and graneries and liberate your zoo animals! yeah, lions and penguins menacing your neighborhoods!!!

We will savage your quilting bees and disrupt your barn raisings!
We are not to be toyed with you here you mangy bronco fan!!!!!!!!!!!!

ahhh. mah chest herts. must have the . . . busch lite defibrilator . . . must reach beer. . . .

and this is the game plan.

BTW, after all the silly preseson mismanagement stuff just maybe J McDaniel is showing why he was chosen to be a HC. Denver have been a surprise so far....although playing some poor teams.

Wow. We should be in fear of a team with a pass rush that has 4 sacks against Cleveland that has allowed almost 4 per game and 2 against Oakland that is allowing 2 per game.

Then we have Dallas's offensive line that held the Giants, who have 95 sacks in the last two seasons, to none.

Gonna be a loooooong day for Denver's secondary I bet. The more I get into the research, the more confident I feel about Dallas winning which is exactly like last week.

I will help with your spelling:

Not Defence, it's D-E-F-E-N-S-E* - Something you guys have not had in a long time

Not Whitten, it's W-I-T-T-E-N* - Someone you guys won't be able to stop

I would argue that Jason Witten (notice the absence of an H) is the best run blocking tight end in the game. But that is just me.
